Our classification board is so damn inconsistent, games like Dead Rising, Ninja Gaiden 2 and Prototype were released here uncut so it doesn't make a great deal of sense that L4D2 is banned. It's beyond being just fucking annoying that games are constantly being edited or banned in order to prevent minors from playing them when the one man able to allow games to be given a R18+ rating seems to think doing the practical thing isn't the right thing to do. What about it doesn't make sense? If you don't want minors to view/play movies or games that are deemed too violent or too adult, you give it a rating that only allows an adult to buy the bloody thing.

I'm not 100% sure but I think even if we were to import it would probably be illegal to have dedicated servers for the game, so even if we import we'll be playing with a lot of lag. Fucking hell.

Left 4 Dead 2 Demo Coming Next Month - Left 4 Dead 2 - Kotaku

At a press conference held earlier today in Tokyo, EA took to the stage and revealed that a playable demo for Left 4 Dead 2 will be out next month.

It's dated for October 27, and that's all that was discussed. Not which platform that was for, not whether it was for pre-order customers or everyone, which map it was, nothin. That info will have to wait, it seems!

and next week we get the Crash Course DLC on the 29th

Well, the L4D1 demo was actually really good at giving us a good taste of the game. That's why I was looking forward to the L4D2 demo.

And I do wholeheartedly agree with you. The only reason this bs slides (demo only with pre-order) is because it's Valve and I knew it was a game I was going to get regardless. Any other company and I'd just wait until someone else bit the bullet.

Can't wait for Crash Course and the L4D2 demo. Once L4D2 comes out, it'll be time to be a recluse for awhile with some friends.

I'm not buying Crash Course. All it seems to me is a set of maps thrown together to satisfy those people who bitched they didn't release DLC for LFD1. I'm gonna wait it out and buy LFD2 instead.

It was the early-demo that sold me on L4D. Didn't have an interest in the game until I played through it once.....and then again...and again...and again...

Doing a pre-order-onry on demo would hurt sales for them as I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one affected by their marketing strategy for the first title.

Everyone will have access to the L4D2 demo. Just the people that pre-order it right now will get access before those who don't.

So L4D2 has an equipment system or something? I was under the assumption our melee weapons would be random pickups throughout the levels.
