I'm a firm believer that Valve is trolling everyone and it will just be DLC. Definitely want to play as Uncle Phil though.

L4D has been my GOTY no doubt. I have played it more than anything else by leaps and bounds. Therefore:
YAYayyayayYAyay
Looks more like the guy who plays the P.I. in pushing daisies,/Principle in Boston Public/Chef? in the movie Waiting with a beard the Uncle Phil. /shrug
Seems L4D1 wil get the updated matchmaking 2.0, as well as finally getting a proper SDK shortly.

L4D 2 is 60$ already for Xbawx.
My reasons for believing this is DLC (for PC at least):
*Achievements were turned on

Why are they turned on? Everyone knows there will be achievements. They keep recieving the same one too... which coincidentally is the most achieved (most recognizable?) according to L4D stats.
*No visible difference in engine apart from the supposed AI Director 2.0
(think HL2 -> EP1 -> EP2) There were some pretty nice graphical additions with each episode. I could most likely identify each one with just one (reasonable) screenshot.
*The name doesn't necessarily imply a sequel. It could also just be plainly saying "too." (50/50 chance here)
*I'm pretty sure (75%) "Charger" was a canned Tank concept
*This is Valve
Not EA
*This isn't nearly enough content for a new game
All the "features" seem like updates in a way-too-obvious-in-your-face kind of way that makes you wonder what's going on.
*Time frame for a new game is wayyyyy too small
When you buy a Valve game you expect some extended support. It's what they do and are most likely fully aware of this.
*I'm pretty sure Valve has no need to spread their development team any more thin with another (multiplayer) game
I'd say that if this is DLC that Valve will finally make Xbox users pay for DLC though. They can't add achievements while offering it free.
$50 for PC then given the current trend of PC prices vs. 360/PS3.
If they have a 10% sale or something for pre-order I may be tempted, otherwise I'll wait for an inevitable 50% sale a few months later, which is when the majority will purchase it (for PC) anyhow. @.@
it's going to cost $50, they need the money to feed gabe
And to buy him a bigger monitor for WoW.

Why are we bitching about Valve? Valve is one of the only companies that continually gives free updates and support to their games. If anything is worth paying full price for, it's a game from Valve.
Even though I thoroughly enjoyed L4D, I got bored of it pretty quickly. L4D never felt like a 49.99 game to me, it was rather short at it's release, especially considering the value that was The Orange Box before it (guess we can't always expect these kinds of deals! :D). While Turtle Rock Studios did a great job with the concept and execution, I think a full Valve production will really push this genre to the next level. Co-op survival is the new fad anyways (Horde mode, Nazi Zombies, Killing Floor, ODST Firefight etc). Here's to hoping anyways!
