Just played on expert, 3 of us were down and the last guy standing was /just/ about to get someone else up, and the charger comes out of nowhere and charges his ass alllllll the fucking way across the park, behind the fountain, so we couldn't even shoot it lol.

So can't wait for Versus.

played through the campaign again and really enjoyed the hell out of melee weapons this time, the machete is satisfying as hell and I cant wait for the katana

What's the difference between all the different melee weapons anyway? Here's what I can tell so far:

Frypan: Strike appears to be better for smashing in heads
Machete: Quicker slashes
Guitar: Longer range
Tonfa: ???

I was told the frying pan and police stick were best for shoving zombies away.

In my experience the Machete does best when you have a good choke point against a horde while the guitar does better when you are in a more open area (like a corner).

The instructions are slightly off. You'd put the addon in the Left 4 Dead 2 Demo\left4dead2\ folder and not just the Left 4 Dead 2 Demo folder. Also, to make a multiplayer game with it, you don't need to type that map command. Just start a friends only Local server (or make it public if you want) and type the other 2 commands (plugin_cvar sb_all_bot_team 1 & plugin_allow_remote_commands 1).

It is definitely a watered down version, but its still pretty fun. Can only have 4 players (so a 2v2 or some other combo) but its possible to have a lot of bots and any difficulty to make it more interesting. As far as I can tell, the SI work as they will in the full version and all three of the new ones are awesome. I like all of them better than I ever liked smoker (outside of instant kills).

edit: Btw, only the host needs to do the above. I've played with both friends and random pubs with this (which is hilarious, first game I did someone asked me if I was a dev). I got a very good 2v2 earlier when I asked who wanted to be zombie and only one of the 3 others said he did.
