PC demo is up for all to Dl now.
I dunno about 50 (it probably is), but it's definitely worth ~$35![]()
Will my PC run Left 4 Dead 2? I wanna get it on here for Mods etc. and if so how well? Im no good with computer things other than swapping files really.
Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU T8100 @ 2.10GHz ( 2.10 GHz Performance Rated at: 3.465 GHz)
4GB RAM
ATI Radeon Graphics Processor (0x9508) (ATI Radeon Mobility 3870HD)
HD sound card etc. as well.
Can't see why it wouldn't with your specs. Just don't expect max settings on your mobile graphics card there.
At any rate, you could just download the demo and see if it runs satisfactory to you given it's open to all to download now. Valve is pretty damn good at optimizing their games run on a wide variety of configurations.
(no reason not to given they do voluntary hardware surveys in Steam on thousands of clients, to get a good idea of what to aim for as far as Low/Mid/High range is concerned for the majority)
I've been playing the demo, it's open to everyone today
Technically I've been playing with below the minimum graphics card. There's no lag, and the character models are still detailed, there gore is all there, everything looks great, its just there is no sky and no water (its just gone) and rarely the occasional zombie turns bright yellow or green, but it actually helps me to see them in the darkness lol
Restart steam?
Ugly little fucker

Man, had me a two hour session of this with a decent group, and I'm just loving all the improvements. I'm surprised how much effort they took into making the game more aesthetically pleasing too with subtle use of 'next-gen' effects, rather than in-your-face like most console games I see these days.
And god, the decapitation....fucking LOVE it. I just wish you could maim them further when they're just a corpse. It's not just extra gore, it's extra visual feedback on how well you're damaging the hoarde.
my favorite part about l4d2 is the protesters who QQed so hard, valve didnt let me down
Played through the demo level a few times, probably just going to wait till the half off sale. I never got that in to l4d1, I'm not even sure what would make me want to pay $50 for a l4d sequel. My concept of value is based off of the orange box though so I'll probably be waiting a loooooooong time.
