Camping a 8-infinity hour lotto NM with no money drops in hopes that some sucker will pay for you to allow them the drop. That's lucrative? No. It's not. It's just being a dick for the sake of being a dick. If you can solo Charby, you can solo many, many other NMs that actually drop things you can sell.

I can solo many many other NMs that actually drop things I can sell. I can solo everything soloable, as most regulars here know. Now, a few examples:

Despot: 3-4 hours for a 200k stone, ~50k/hr and you get outclaimed frequently solo

Zipacna: 1 hour for a 120k stone provided it's up, you wasted 20 minutes checking if it's not though and most servers have decent competition in sky still. Let's say 60k/hr.

Faust: 90 minutes for a 100k stone, usually up, 67k/hr

Steam Cleaner: an hour for a 100k stone, up maybe 50% of the time, ~50k/hr

Diorite/Ulli: 8-10 hours average for a BLM to solo a diorite, 1 hour to solo ulli, 600k stone / 9 = 66k/h

BB/MG/Olla: not really doable

Seiryu: Gil drops are nonexistant. A pop set is worth 700k, seal is worth 400k. Sky shells sell drops cheaply enough to negate any real reason to do it for the purpose of making gil.

Suzaku: Gil drops are rare, a pop set is worth 300k, seal is worth 300k. Assuming you win 100%, a 2.5 hr fight for about 120k on average from siren's hair - 48k/hr and you have to deal with selling the seal(which sells very slowly). Potentially more if you find a buyer for n.feet, though again they can likely buy it cheaper off a sky linkshell.

SCNMs-

Observant Zekka: 1 hour fight, about always up, 9% droprate on a 700k item, 63k/hr

Ga'Lhu Nevermolt: 90 min fight, about always up, 9% droprate on a 1m item, 60k/hr

Draketrader Zloddgod: Up like 75% of the time, ~15% droprate on a 500k item, takes about an hour to solo, ~75k/hr

Misc-

Cactrot Rapido - Only up every 2-3 days, ~10% droprate on 2m bow = 200k/kill, 1 hour killtime = 200k/hr when it's up and you claim.. but demand and spawn time make this not a viable main source of income

Sheep in Antlion's Clothing - ~400k/hr average, once every 5 days

Brothers - ~150k/hr average, once every 5 days

Joyeuse - At 1m sale, 50% sell rate, 50% claim rate, 3 hours average camping.. 25% of 1m is 250k / 3 hours = 83k/h.. those rates are pretty conservative too, I can almost always find someone to buy it. If nothing else, when nobody buys for 1m you drop it to 500k.

It works for me, and many other people. It's also liquid gil, which is nice compared to having to wait to sell things.

I have almost never not had a buyer for Joyeuse, if you seacom it for 15 minutes you'll find a buyer 99% of the time.

I wouldn't consider that "nice bank", but maybe our standards are different, or beastcoins sell for more on your server than they do on Sylph.

I guess I should put that into perspective. It's certainly faster money than doing the avatars, with the side of af drops and O/U chips. It's more "keep your groove going" gilflow than "save up for PCC" gilflow
