Anyone know the leathercraft sub on these things? I'd like a pair for my SAM, but if they end up being T0 I'm just gonna say fuck it and use NQ. Everywhere has them at 93 smithing and unknown leather, so if anyone actually knows, that would be pretty cool.

Hello, according to "Guild Masters Guide" the subskill for Leather on this item is "apprentice".

That doesn't really help much since you could be a level 50 apprentice or a level 38 apprentice. If anyone knows a solid leathercraft number that would be great.

I can't tell what the exact leathercraft requirement is but based on experience it's tier 1 for sure. There are similar smithing recipes using Black Tiger Leather that require leathercraft like Onyx Cuisses - those should pretty much have identical requirements.
Since your signature suggests you made those before you can expect the same HQ rates with Hachi Kotes.

I'm not sure, but I wouldn't stress it tbh. NQ is going to give you the 6hit and +1 str on hagun dot on a job that gets the vast majority of its dmg from WS'ing isn't going to do much for you at all. Unless you're a white box whore there is no point in getting these and even if you did craft them, find some whitebox whore and sell it to them and you'd get more use out of it.

Ya, I know NQ will give me the same 6 hit, I just want them for the self-signed whitebox. I'll keep trying to HQ them with advanced smithing and hope I pop one out. Thanks guys.
