    PS2 Controller with PC

I recently bought a playstation controller converter cable, and I cant seem to get it to work with FFXI. I have enable'd the gamepad settings on the FFXI Config, and it still doesnt work. Does anyone know how I can get this to work?

Ill take a few pics of the cable, if that helps any.

You can press the desired button instead of scrolling down the numbers, As long as the gamepad is conected.

    Yes, is a bug
You have to light the analog stick before starting FF, or before doing the config, i remember having the same problem before.

Iv tried everything and its still doing the same thing. When i go into FFXI Config and try to setup the "Directional Control Devices" and select "Movement" and the analog light is on the directional pad doesnt work, but when I take the light off the directional pad works and the analog stick doesnt work.

What exactly does the "Enable slider" "Enable hat switches" and "Enable force feedback" do? I have them all unchecked, atm.

You have to set the three movement configurations as well.

In the gamepad configuration there are three buttons on the right side to set the movement, view and menu controls. Go through the calibration for all three and you should be set. Button 1 translates to the square button on the ps2 controller iirc.

Sliders and hat switches don't do anything last I checked.

    Force feedback is vibration.

Slider and HAT switch settings depend on your controller and adapter. The D-Pad is usually recognized by Windows as an 8-way HAT switch. Sometimes one of the analog sticks is recognized as a slider.

Square isn't always button 1. I have two USB converters, and on one it is, and on the other Triangle is button 1.
