I agree, the other day I was randomly reflecting on his role in killbill and how much I liked the nostalgia it added to the films. Apparently though it seems he was a shy, loner type and very misunderstood, always fighting an inner battle.

edit, my husband just pointed out to me that that is the role he played in kungfu and other roles had that theme so it was obvious to him. I guess its a perspective kind of thing. People look up to him for different reasons and see him in different light. I always envisioned confidence when I saw him.
