Assuming you're on the NXE you should be able to go the system settings and then console settings and then Display settings.

Samsung LE40B650 Picture Quality (HD+SD) & Sound Quality (it's your TV, but the European version). Scroll down and you'll read this:

Don't ask me why they use the Samsung F96 reference for most reviews since that has 30ms input lag compared to an old school monitor. The last generation of Sony's (Z4500, W4500 and V4000) had 0 ms to very little input lag in Game Mode and some in w/e mode, the newer generation like the W5500 does have higher input lag again, maybe it's due to Sony's new Bravia 3 Engine (Z4500 etc have Bravia 2) and they still need to work out some kinks to lower input lag?

this happened to me on my 46a750. rock band was totally crapping out until i set the delay. now i am struggling in eternal sonata with the 'gaurd' timing. what a shame these 'new' tv's are.

I recently got an HDMI cable and tried it out. the whole 'auto motion plus' schpiel is just garbage. the game runs smoother at 60hz. i dont think any of the samsung's have true 120hz refresh. seems like they are just trying to add more frames in to smooth things out which imo looks terrible.

This doesn't change a game's native resolution. It just off-loads the scaling to the 360 instead of the TV, and frankly the TV is *ussually* better at it.

Is this visual lag or audio lag? If the "lag" you're experiencing is that the audio and the visuals don't seemed synced up, that's actually a problem with your sound system.

    ...wat?

Of course it's just adding more frames to run at 120hz...are you watching 120hz content? no... do you think it's magic? If you watch 30FPS on a 60hz monitor it frame-doubles to 60fps, if you watch 60fps content on 120hz...it frame doubles to 120 fps. etc etc up to 600hz which Plasmas run at.

What exactly is "true 120hz" to you?

Not pointing out you specifically, but one thing for the OP to keep in mind is that HDTV threads are one of those things everyone thinks they're an expert because they own one, and it's often a bunch of clueless people throwing around marketing gimmicks and buzzwords confusing each other. So you really gotta take any advice with a grain of salt.

(sorry, anyone who understands it knows this is true ><)

Try labeling the "source" as PC on your samsung hdtv and see if that helps.

Thank you, x10000. Personally, when I walk into Best Buy or whatever store, I can pick out the 120hz TV's at a glance- it looks that much better to me. But hey- your mileage may vary.

Well since this thread is still alive i'll update. Afer tinkering around with all the settings i could find and trying different inputs (VGA, component, hdmi) it seemed like it was just the t.v. Its just not a good t.v. for gaming. I gave it to my dad since it'll be just for movies and went and got this: Panasonic TC-P42G10 Flat-panel TV reviews - CNET Reviews

So far so good. Its funny but one thing i like the most is that i can surf the menu/intefrace without the lag that samsungs have lol
