currently at the boston show. they just finished the acoustic set. I agree fucking amazing performers and iron fist was great. bought the usb stick for tonights show. ill get it at the end of the show and attempt to upload it. (25$ for it though holy fucking shit)

also the tour shirt that is green is missing boston on it had to buy the other one.

HoB is a cool place but they kick people out for smoking pot inside so the show isn't as epic as it should be for me oh well. pumped for the rest of the show!

Free Brooklyn Neverender: SSTB 'Encore' Show - June 11. Thank you NY for 10 years of Awesome!

I prefer the Boston version of Iron Fist.

He really sings it near the end and gets the crowd cheering, sent chills down my spine.

I thought it was awesome that they played The Prize Fighter Inferno - Who Watches the Watchmen, but was kinda sad the acoustic set only had one song really converted to acoustic imo. Here We Are Juggernaut, the rest were basically songs I already considered acoustic-esque. However I can see Iron Fist's studio (and possibly Milkfoot) version being non-acoustic.

I'll work on uploading it but my internet blows and it's 250mb total, so might take a bit

What other songs did they play during the acoustic set? I bought tickets to the San Diego concert months ago, and I can't wait to go in my SSTB shirt and keywork necklace.

Like I stated above, pretty much all of those songs were already acoustic type songs except for juggernaut, but regardless it's just amazing how well he sings live. He runs around a lot on stage during the electric part of the show, and it's noticeable in his singing, he definitely get's winded. At first when re-listening to the concert I thought his voice was starting to go the longer the concert went, but when they come back out to perform Elf Tower not even a few minutes after the end, he sings perfectly again.

Man, I just got home from the concert basically. Left San Diego at 11, got home at 12:30 and crashed to wake up at 5 am for a final and other classes, lol.

It was amazing. I have seen Coheed live before, but never at a Neverender show, and jesus was it so much better. They were on for a total of around three hours.

Acoustic set of songs listed above > SSTB > a set including Ten Speed, No World for Tomorrow, Welcome Home, Far, The Black Rainbow and finishing with an accoustic song I've never heard before. Wasn't Milkfoot or Iron Fist, but it was a great song with a catchy chorus.

The energy was insane in the pit. When they started Devil In Jersey City the room absolutely exploded, it definitely had the most energy of any song last night. Something about 250 people fist pumping/head banging in unison while screaming "Scream loud! Scream Sayonara oh oh oh!" is just so hype. When he brought out the double guitar, signaling Welcome Home was upcoming, people went crazy as well.

I was surprised at how amazing "Here We Are Juggernaut" was acoustic. I might like it better than the original version.

These guys are just true performers, I can't wait to go again.

Coheed and Cambria Bass player arrested for bomb threat

    Guess this belongs here.

    http://media.tumblr.com/tumblr_lo58ikgKdA1qfo293.jpg

Michael Todd, the bassist for the band Coheed and Cambria, was arrested for armed robbery after he allegedly held up a Walgreens by claiming he had a bomb, right before his band played a show.
According to police in Attleboro, MA … Todd showed a pharmacist a cell phone note that said he had a bomb and demanded Oxycontin. He made off with six bottles of pain pill and fled via taxi.
But police say he was spotted in the cab and police were able to track it via the dispatcher … to the Comcast Center where Coheed and Cambria were set to open up for Soundgarden.
Police said Todd was arrested without incident after he was identified by the cab driver, the pharmacist and by store surveillance video.
Todd was charged with armed robbery and unlawful possession of prescription narcotics. He is being held on $10,000 bail and will be arraigned on Monday morning.

    what...but he...sigh, uhhhh ...... wtf?

I don't even know what to say to this. In a comedic sense it's just the bass player. but seriously, wtf.

[edit] Qal's comedy is better haha

    What the fuck.

Edit: Well I guess whatever, claudio is all that's needed. I'd be more upset if it was Travis, but still, what.

On my way to work I was thinking the same thing tbh. Travis is pretty important, but never thought much of the bassist. He's no Geddy Lee

After a lot of thought, introspection and discussion, Coheed and Cambria will be continuing our journey without bassist Michael Todd. We have spoken to him and this is a mutual decision between both parties. Michael was a great contributor; our hearts go out to his family and to all those who appreciate his talents. We wish him nothing but the very best.

We are currently writing and recording songs for a new album, as well as a couple compilations this fall. We are very excited about how the songs are shaping up and can’t wait to share them with you.

We’d like to thank Wes Styles for filling in for the live gigs in the interim, including the upcoming South America and Mexico shows. A belated thanks to Rob Gill for covering in Boston; and the biggest thank you to all of you for your unwavering support.

    A new chapter awaits.

    Love,

    Coheed and Cambria
    and they're teasing something:

Wow those teaser vids are weird, I didn't really care too much for Deranged, but if those teasers are pointing towards a theme or motif for the album then I think I'm intrigued now

This has got me excited. I thought NWFT was a pretty good album but I know everyone, for the most part, really didn't care for YotBR. And just about everyone loves SSTB and IKSSE3, so hopefully this is good news.
