I feel like I’m gonna have to listen to this album a lot to decide where I want to place it in comparison to other Coheed albums

I havn't had a listen to the bonus tracks yet, but I'm maintaining my earlier position of "It's the weakest Vaxis so far, but it's still pretty damn good".

I keep a playlist for C&C, but drop tracks that I don't care for. Vaxis III has 3 drops (Yesterday's Lost, Corner My Confidence, and Continuum IV)
Vaxis I & II only had 2 drops each. (Prologue, Lucky Stars / The Embers of Fire, Our Love)

Whereas Afterman only keeps 3 tracks each, and Black Rainbow 4 tracks.

(The Broken, Juggernaut, World of Lines, Made out of Nothing)

This isn't anything new though, I only like 3 tracks off Second Stage Turbine Blade (Time Consumer, 33, Devil in Jersey City)

I’d like Siloh the Selfish a lot more if it wasn’t so repetitive.

So famed genre composer Bear McCreary (Battlestar Galactica, Walking Dead, countless others) has a 2 album collaborative rock/metal project called The Singularity, and The Singularity: Ekleipsis, some famous guests involved, this track features Claudio, and Tim Henson of Polyphia.

This is a banger, I’ll take some new material any day. It’s a Coheed song with jut enough of Henson’s virtuosity sprinkled in, which I like.

Been checking out both albums since I posted that, reminds me a bit of Ayreon if anyone is familiar with that project, a big collaborative concept album/proggy semi-rock opera (it can be a bit cheesy but I recommend The Human Equation, has some great vocalists). Found out from this reddit post that there is (of course) an accompanying graphic novel I may need to try to track down, also Lee Pace shows up in the first album doing a bit of narration, funny that I keep running into him (Invincible, and I started watching Foundation recently).
