depends on the player as to whether or not it plays, easiest (or so I have been told, only started using FLAC last week) is to download and use Winamp
also no coheed DLC this week =/

No, flac is not itunes compatible. You'll have to convert to uncompressed WAV or ALAC.

If you use itunes, get winamp, since it doesn't support it and getting it to can be a real bitch.

I only really use VLC for video, but does it even have a library feature if you want to actually do extensive stuff with it? Winamp has worked great for that

Not that I'm aware of; I was just suggesting it since it plays the flac pretty much out of the box. Last time I used winamp you still had to do some hoop-jumping for flac, that may not be the case now.

I just installed it, and added all FLACs to library, worked without a problem
(got like 150 FLAC albums during the freeleech at What, so a library was a needed feature, lol)
