Not going to lie - I laughed. The mental picture of some guy randomly running up to you, yelling "YOUR MOTHER!" and handing you a bag of death-seeds is hilarious.

Do you screw with the RMTs a lot or something? Something that'd make them want to attack you like that? Even though it turned out to be a pretty weak attack, I bet it scared the hell out of you. :b

Back in the glory days of BST MPKing, a lot of the ones on Sylph used to have a huge grudge against me. I'd often just go sit near one of their xp parties and they'd immediately totally stop pulling, because they knew if they started fighting anything that they'd somehow end up with a bunch of links. Used to get a lot of angry broken-english tells and GM call threats from them.

I guess I'm just lucky they didn't have any death-seeds.

The log tells a bit more, what does "bi" translate too?

It was just a coincidence.. the RMT didn't do anything to you, except trade you that bag. I've had RMT in Bastok run up to me and trade me multiple bags of those and water crystals by accident. I handed them out to friends I knew who gardened. None of our accounts exploded, etc.

Seems like perhaps your crash was related to the maintenance. The rmt was likely thinking you were one of the bazillion chars he is supposed to give grass to so they can plant it.

There are 5 separate Yanjings on ffah, which one of them was the one that traded with you if any?

Good effort, except that if it was an accident, meaning he thought that he was actually giving it to one of his RMT cohorts, why exactly would he say "YOUR MOTHER!"?

This thread would have been so much cooler if the OP was talking about selling his house for money to buy teh gilz with or something.

Whenever my LS does Dynamis Bastok I would unequip myself fully, go /anon and take off my LS and try to stand right in front of MH and trade any RMT who is running toward MH. Originaly I was only doing this for the kick and laugh and try to annoy them, until one RMT mistakenly traded me something of 601k (forgot the exact amount cuz I wanted to accept as fast as I can, it seems like he just traded whatever he had on him to me). Then later he realized the mistake and said something to me in Chinese.

I would say to give it a try during your free time while waiting for dynamis.

As for OP, I honestly think it is either a coincident, or maybe you have previously pissed them off in some way and they are aiming at you. Then again, I would think that I pissed them off but my account is perfectly fine still.... so who knows... Btw, this was about 4 months ago. I have SS but it doesn't show the amount of gil I got.

Edited the amount of gil i got after looking at the SS.

LOL that is an interesting reference name for Bastok and appropriate.

Nameless, & OP I am no expert but be careful putting yourself in the gil trail of rmt.

You are doing this assuming a GM/STF employee will actually have the discretion to figure out that you are just playing with rmt and not receiving gil you bought on a website or gil to trade to a "fellow employee".

Considering the possibility that they trace the gil trail and it leads from the growers, to the runners, (who you might have gotten gil from) to the "holding" accounts that they ban in a sweep. What would distinguish rmt player receiving illegal gil from legit player receiving illegal gil for shits n' giggles?

I suppose the only saving factor is at what point the gil is determined illegal gil and you would hope that it is some time after you get your trade, not before.

Could be their own windower client has some sort of app that doesn't crash them on trade.

Who am I kidding? It's likely that one of them is smart enough to dick with people like this. I mean, of all the RMT in those sweatshops, you'd think more than a few have educated themselves enough to do stuff like this.
This is what I was referring to. I think most of us knows that OP experienced this in WG, but what we are implying is that maybe he is targeted by RMT for something he did to them in the past (and what we can think of is probably tricking them in bastok mine for free gil). Either that, or it was a coincident.

Hope you understand we are not mistakening that this was done in bastok xD

    I would think it's just a coincidence.

RMT wouldn't try to get rid of potential customers like that. If anything they're just going around trading random shit to people thinking it will screw up the anti-rmt tracking system that SE is implementing.

While I'm sure DCing someone through a trade is possible on some level, I doubt anyone there has the time or knowledge to figure it out.

Something to keep in mind -- Chinese has a lot of homonyms to begin with, and it gets worse since it is a tonal language, and the accent marks usually get dropped when typing in English. For instance, "Ni Ma?" could also be asking "Is it you?". It could be possible that it's a case of mistaken identity (Not all RMT have naked Lvl 1 characters with keyboard-smash names; some are on hijacked accounts after all).

Teh intarweb tells me that 'ni ma bi' means "your mom's pussy". Doesn't sound like mistaken identity.

Lol... I'm mostly just playing on the fact that 'rmt players' are seen as a bunch of sweat-shop workers with little to no intelligence... anybody who enjoyed EQ's end-game in some capacity would know that they are far from stupid. I find it funny that a Chinese RMT is considered 'sub-human', yet an NA linkshell can make so much gil from Ixion/Sandworm drops and Kings' Abj. that they can't buy officer's relics fast enough, and are then 'forced' to sell their gil in mass amounts. Hey, it's all good.

Yeah, totally off topic, but funny non-the-less. On topic: out buying Bonanza Marbles on a mule last week. I'm in Port Sandy, and I see 3 /anon characters, named Gardenh, Planth, Harvesth. They all seem to have Gardenh on /follow. I decide to stick it out, and sure enough the 'i' series comes out a few minutes later.

Now, I'm not sure about you guys, but 'garden, 'plant, and 'harvest' hardly sound like Chinese words to me... or any other Asian language.

Wait, that wasn't on topic at all... Go Flames?

Well, the seeds are grass seeds, and 'grassing' someone is to kill them, isn't it? (I remember much laughter was had on Alla a while back about some RMT who got so angry he threatened some player 'me grass you whole family' or something like that--wasn't it Bsphilar?). So maybe the whole thing was just intended as a threat.

I doubt it's rmt, more likely it is a hacker using some mule and pretending to be a RMT to test some invalid item he made. He probably targetted you cause he knew you would post about it on here.

Why does everything think a naked anon mule is always a rmt, most of them are brain dead zombies doing the same boring single trade/check plants over and over all day long.

Weird. Ni ma (bi) is definitely an insult to the RMTs. I used to spam "wo cao ni ma bi" "wo ai ni ma" "wo cao ni quan jia" to RMTs back in the day when I was camping NMs lol. I know the first one means something like "I fucked your mother". The last one, I was told, meant something along the lines of "I fucked your ancestors". They shouldn't have gotten so mad though, I learned it from them!

As for the D/Cing, I'm thinking it's a coincidence. Spam-trading RMTs has gotten me 50k worth of greens and nothing more.

RMTs are considered stupid because they play this game roughly as well as poorly-trained primates and because the most lucrative thing they found was farming gigas for like 2 years, until they moved into sky and baby NMs with the aid of enterprising douchebags.

NA/JP shells that are cheating in-game to make sweatshop wages via RMT are ruining the game too, and of course NA players are using the same gardening techniques as the Chinese to make gil, but it's a hard case to make for racism for assuming that someone who says "Your mother's pussy" to you in Mandarin is Chinese.
