Something similar happened in a zoo in Asia. Gay Penguin couple stole another penguin couple's egg. Zoo took egg away, ppl got pissed. So they ended up giving the two pengins their own egg. Can probably Google it and find it.

In all seriousness, how do they know that the penguins are gay? I've never heard of circumstances like this before.

IIRC penguins are monogamous to the max. I.E. they mate with only one other partner for life.

This is not the first case where two males because partners, and because they stay monogamous they will refuse to mate or go with anyone else.

Though I'm not sure if it happens in the wild, I know I always see it on the news about two penguins at a zoo/aquarium. So it's hard to say if they are "gay" or if it's an affect from being caged. (Many animals show extremely different attitudes in the zoo vs. the wild)

Homosexuality is the act or attraction to those of the same sex. Heterosexuality is the act or attraction to those of the opposite sex. This is 2 + 2 = 4, not complicated quantum theory.

This happens all over the animal kingdom including humans for reasons unknown, but highly studied from areas to social surrounding, psychology, genetics, and neuroscience. I'm happy for you that you have grand abstract theory that allows you to not feel guilty for being gay in a world society that largely looks down on that behavior by creating an identity to adhere by for it, but the issue is here are scientific answers and evidence for homosexuality that go well beyond a "gay gene" theory. Don't be so obtuse.
