Anyway, i'm just recently getting back into MTG after I used to play when I was 10 since my college buddies are playing in their spare time. Atm I run a Bant Aggro using Knight of New Alara. Really fun deck to play but still needs work. I should take it to FNM's sometime or run it in the standard tournament once Lorwyn cycles out in October when M10 is released.

The most fun I had was saying these three words, though:

Lands arent Permanents? I havent played in about 10 years, so I dont remember.

Everything that stays on the board are permanents (enchantments, lands, artifacts, creatures)

Put all your mana into your mana pool, cast upheaval with enough left to play a 'tog, and laugh as you put your opponent on a 1-2 turn clock and they stare at their full hand of stuff they won't be able to play.

Oh yeah, I would think someone would have a creature removal spell handy. I know I usually tried to have one just in case.

Sounds nasty. I hated playing those kinds of decks. Side decks are made for these decks.

I don't even have a sideboard. The only tournaments I've played in were drafts because the locale comic book store that hosts the tournaments has a lot of pro tour players. Its intimidating. I'll post my elf deck in a lil' bit and maybe somebody can gimme some good tweaks.

BG elves are pretty strong still. Although getting hold of Chameleon Colossus might be a little bit of a bitch. The deck itself isn't that expensive. Check out DeckCheck.net - Providing 'outside assistance' since 2004 or mtgsalvation.com for deck archetypes if you don't mind net decking, but you still still mix and match :D.

Drafts are what is used to enter in too. I once had to play my own White weenie deck, cause my friend used it in the same tournament I was in. Luckly, it was in the Final, and my Red DD weenie(or Red Sleigh) won. This was before 5th Edition. God I'm old.
