What do the plus and minus numbers means for cards like garruk. I'm guessing its a give life to opponent and take away from yourself?

Planeswalkers are their own thing. They are considered a permanent, but they aren't a creature, artifact, land or enchantment. They are simply a planeswalker permanent. A PW will come into play with the amount of loyalty counters on it as the bottom right specifies, so garruke would come into play with 3. The + and -'s on the abilities is adding or removing loyalty counters on it. So using the +1 (untap 2 target lands) adds 1 loyalty counter to it. When a planeswalker has 0 loyalty counters on it, it is put into it's owners graveyard.

A PW can be attacked buy your opponent, and damage is delt normally, IE a 2/2 hit deal 2 damage to a PW (if unblocked) and 2 loyalty counters will come off. Now, if a source of damage your OPPONENT controls would deal damage to YOU, he may redirect it to your PW instead of dealing damage to you. IE if my opponent shocks me, he gets to chose to redirect to my PW.

So you can just untap land like crazy and give him a bunch of counters just like that? or am I forgetting that you can't use land repeatedly like that.

The most fun I had was saying these three words, though:

    Upheaval, 'Tog, Go.

I played so many different archtypes, but Aggro/Control and Combo/Control decks were always my forte.
    summoning sickness?

this combo won't work... you cast upheaval, drop your psycho dude, then wait for next turn? what, a lot can happen.

You have a pshychatog on your side, they have nothing. You pass turn, discard down to 7, and they drop a land and say go. You draw a card, attack, discard your hand to tog, removed your graveyard from the game and win. It's a control deck, you drag the game out until they have no threats left, then you hit the restart button on them, except you have a hungry dood out.

    $30 Garruks? What the shit?

And yes, Luxodon Warhammer. It trumps Blanchwood many times over.

Upheaval tog deck was awesome, so many good cards to help you out there.

my personal favorite death was a land kill Terravore build, Armageddon and Swords to Plowshares and Wrath of Gods oh my~ Harrow, etc. lots of good shit to use. Not fool proof at all, but still fun.

Stopped after Darksteel or w/e, don't know shit about the game anymore apparently

All the planeswalkers are $20 except the lion guy, $16 and garruk + one other one, which are $30

Nice since I have 7-8 Garruks and 1 foil kicking around o.o

Sounds like its time to sell some cards to upgrade a few on my moxs from Unlimited 'fair' to Beta 'notshitty'!

Still kinda weird because I remember picking most of them up for ~10 bucks less than a year ago.

Garruk is decent. Ajani vengeant is pretty good, Elspeth is amazing. You can buy garruks online for like 16$ lol. Elspeth is like 22

Blanchwood Armor x2 - Meh, offers too little early game and expect prompt removal. Warhammer adds more consistent threat with trample and lifegain.

Good casual deck and a fun choice for easy FNM but don't expect more than that. And I second the Wiltleaf Lieges in the SB for Blightning. So fun to drop a solid beatstick or two like that for free xD

Downside of most of my suggestions is the costs of the cards. No mercy for you though, my poor teen angsty ass started right before Urza's block. I had to mow a lot of lawns and suck lots of dick to get my rancors, cursed scrolls, masticores, morphlings, and other shit
Need sum Gaea's Cradle & Priest of Titania.. rawr!

Coat of Arms, Taunting Elf, Treetop Scout, Priest of Titania, shit elf decks were fun. I hardly ever lost but it's been so long I forgot most of the composition besides Overrun/Coat of Arms and cheap good elves and priests for mana for Killer Bees and shit.

yes, amazing plan. Except a single forest and fog could foil it.

At the type, type2 didn't run fog. And it didn't really matter with cards like Haunting Echoes and things with flashback that posed big threats. UG madness was pretty baller though.

Then they drop an Island and cast Unsummon for 1 blue mana, immediately lol'ing you. Or perhaps a Plains + Swords to Plowshares.

    Bad combo is bad.
