In the Last Remnant the game begins with minimal control. So it is a rough start. As you gain more control(especially the ability to revive units) the game becomes less frustrating.

I was so happy when I finally got the revive item arts and mystic arts. THEN I got the uber healing spells and was even more happy haha. I already beat the game on 360, but I think I'm going to get it for PC because I hear that the experience is altogether different and I'd like to play it again anyway.
I had this problem with Lost Odyssey and a couple of other people in my LS did also
somewhere at the start of disc 4 it keep freezing AGAIN AND AGAIN!
Looked up online and it happens also to alot of people, anybody got the same problem?
Other than that...the game was awesome
PC Last Remnant is harder, but much more manageable to make up for it. (or vice versa)
There are a couple of more unique Weapon Arts and other stuff too. It is simply a much better version of the game. You could call it patched even.
Well i just ordered The Last Remnant and Lost Odyssey. They better not disapoint!!!
Just got my copy of LO today. Gonna play for a few hours before work today after I eat lunch. Depending on time I'll post my opening opinion of the game before work or after.
Just wanted to say that I started off with LO and just made it through to the second disc but this game is painfully slow and straight forward. It's slow loading, slow battles, slow everything, i just can't get into it. I think i'm pretty much done with it glad it only cost me $10.
As for The Lost Remnant. This game is pretty much amazing and everything i like in a RPG style game. I love the battles for the most part even though they are a bit predetemined. The story is good and not plodding, chars are pretty dope. It's pretty much an old school style FF with some nice advances in the battle systems, certain other things and minus the world navigation. Fantastic game so far and I am just getting to the Eagle's Next and I have a BR of about 35. Also on pace for 100% completion so far. Love it, a bit too much actually, cant put it down.
I picked up Lost Odyssey after reading this thread and I'm 100% happy with the purchase. Really feels like a good, old school RPG; makes me sad that random battles are now almost non existent since I'm still a big fan of them.
If you haven't already, give Wild Arms 5 a shot. I'm playing through it now, and it's definitely an old-school RPG at heart. The battles, although random, are VERY fast, and I've yet to feel that burnt out feeling from them. VA is a bit annoying, but does at least fit the context of the anime style presentation.
