What are some good PSP games?

SO2 is amazing, and honestly is the main reason the series actually gets decent press.

SO3/4 were failures and catered too much to fucking casuals. Except for endgame.

Yeah, I've heard they changed the battle system in the PSP one. That's a big shame, because the original was pretty solid.

LO has fucking terrible random battles. The story is fucking boring, and those FUCKING KIDS. I'm pretty sure I'll just be better off youtubing or reading the dreams which are the high point of the game by a long shot.

I give less than 2 shits about story in RPGs. Atmosphere is ~100x more important. If I wanted to read something good, I'd just be reading a book instead.

I'm debating picking up Star Ocean 4 which just came out here yesterday. I hated 1 & 2 on PSP, but a friend who said he disliked 2 also says he loves 3, which has a similar system to 4. Also a whole lot of it looks fucking retarded, I would want to reach through the screen and punch that little bitch who constantly says 'kay, and this is only from watching a couple of random videos of the game on YouTube.

SO2 is really, really, really good. if you hated the PSP port (which I haven't spent any time on due to playing the PSX original at least 4-5x), I'd definitely say go play the PSX version instead.

SO4's ok but make sure that if you're playing for an extended period of time to not use to high of output settings (aka 1080p is a bad idea). Typically after about ... anywhere from 4-6 hours, if there's too much shit going on at once on the screen, the system likes to lock up. Friend of mine lost 8+ hours of progress repeatedly due to this in sekrit dungeon or w/e.

I actually thought some of the voice acting in SO1 on the PSP was pretty good (by RPG standards anyway). But really, the battle system was fucking retarded on them, you know it's bad when I'd rather play a turn based battle system than it. They should have just gone a step further and copied Tales instead of the shitty system they ended up with.

The originals that is. Played about 10 hours of SO1 on the PSP before deeming it too shitty, but I hear alot of hype about 2 so against my better judgement I tried that afterwards. Gave up on it after like 6 or 7 hours. Of course only half that time was actually gameplay, fucking stupid ass intro.
