It took me like 5 times to get it to work. Try resetting your system settings to default.

You've got h.bin in the root folder and you used the fat .tiff file, right?

You have a fat 1000. You can always go the pandora battery/stick route, and keep the battery as an unbricker just in case you ever fuck up your PSP.

dunno what the problem could be i've tried it like 50398420398420398 times. it just shuts off, doesnt restart.

That's what kept happening for me. I reset system settings and it worked. I can't really help beyond that.

You can softmod a battery if you know someone who has CFW, but otherwise, you've got to hardmod it, and that's irreversible.

If you get a Wifi Max or GW-US54Mini2G, you can play any Ad-Hoc game (local wireless) on infrastructure mode (worldwide!) by going to http://www.teamxlink.co.uk/

A few fun games to play online using that method are Street Fighter Alpha 3, Power Stone Collection, DBZ Shin Budokai 2, Monster Hunter Freedom 1 or 2, Sega Genesis Collection, Metal Slug, Final Fantasy Tactics, Castlevania (co-op boss rush), Phantasy Star Portable, Capcom Puzzle Collection, or whatever else you want.

You can look at List of PlayStation Portable games - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia and sort by Ad-Hoc or Wi-fi to see what interests you. I didn't list any FPS/3PS, but there are some out there if you like that kind of stuff.
