What do I do with grad money?

I just got $470 last night and I have no idea what to do with it. I am considering buying a premium 360 but I'm not totally sure about how I feel blowing such a large chunk on it something like that. A 360 is what I want more than anything right now and I recently bought an HDTV. People are telling me to save it or use it for college but I don't really want to do either. College is paid for and I don't really have anything to save for except like a PS3.

Put it in a savings account and don't touch it. Let it grow on interest. I'd also seriously recommend putting 10-20% (or more) of all your paychecks into a savings account while you're working and in school. Since you said your college is paid for and are living at home, saving will be a lot easier for you to do now then after you graduate and have more influx of bills.

Depends if he has a savings account with decent interest rate locked in already. Starting up an IRA is a great way to get decent interest rate and prepare for the future. My parents opened one up a savings account for me when I was born, and had me put half the money I ever got in it. When I turned 20 after learning about IRA's in depth during an internship, I put that all in an IRA. Saving for the future is cool!

470 alone in any savings account will earn you nothing in the near future, and by near i mean the future that you will actually let that money sit there before you spend it. you can either:

1: buy 470 $1 scratch tickets.

2: buy 23 $20 scratch tickets and spend the remaining $10 on candy cigarettes.
