Castlevania: Lords of Shadow

It looks like it has very nice graphics, but honestly it looks so much like a God of War clone that it's hard to get too excited about it. Button mashing, huge bosses with scripted endings, QTEs, fuck, even the graphics look very similar. Not that God of War is a bad game by any means, but this is so far off from what Castlevania started as that it's kind of... meh. And with Hideo Kojima involved (yeah, I know most of you are fanboys, but fuck him) it will probably have more cutscenes than gameplay and a plot that would make the writers for Dragonball cringe.

At least in Castlevania there's an excuse for ridiculous shit happening in cut scenes. I'm looking forward to this, because Kojima owns and the game play looks great.

I don't think it looks anything like Lament of Innocence (though I would be fine with that), other than the fact that it's 3D and you have a whip.

Also, am I the only person that understood the story in MGS4? I didn't think it was that complicated. Sure, I couldn't repeat it exactly as it was said, but I sure knew what was going on. Maybe because I played them all?

I don't know how anyone can hate on Kojima. If more people put his kind of effort in the games they made, it would be a very different gaming world. He has never put out the same game twice, and his attention to detail is unmatched imo.

Then you definitely can't remember the plot of 4... it's practically the central plot point for... well, every character basically. They just got lazy as fuck and used it as an explanation for absolutely everything.

MercurySteam is an EU dev, so it's certainly possible they're correct. Watched that trailer twice now since there was no English one when I checked lastnight, God damn it looks so good.
