    The day that pretty much all of Fairy collaborated to kill or at least watch AV. Never in any other situation would so many people from so many rival shells have put their petty bullshit aside to work together towards the same goal. I'm far and beyond convinced that anyone that was a part of that kill on Fairy still sees it as one of their greatest achievements in the game.

    Would probably have to agree on the CoP posts. Going through CoP with my friends as a static was one of the greatest things I remember about FFXI. Was 1/1 on everything except that damn Snoll >.> 1/2.

    Also would have to be dinging PLD75 in 2005 in King Ranperre's tomb, about 1 AM and in front of Vrtra's door in a JP party. I was so tired I didn't even realize it until I checked my tnl. I jumped so high and started cheering, woke up my brothers. >.>

    Man, this list is endless, but I will try to keep it short.
    Dinging 75 WHM was unbelievable. I had played many other MMOs and various leveling style RPG games (I'm looking at you, Diablos I & II) and had never reached the final level. Dinging 75 was just the best feeling ever.

    I think my second was getting my Noble's Tunic made. Shortly after getting 75, I joined the current LS I am in (and now part leader of.) I looked on the AH and saw the Noble's Tunic and thought "God, how am I ever going to save up enough gil for that " Shortly after, I began doing sky with my LS, eventually getting to Kirin (long Kirin fights were long) and him dropping the Shining Cloth. I was able to lot on it and was so freaking happy. I was on my way to gearing my favorite and only job.

    Saving the best for last, meeting all my best friends in-game. Everyday, I get to hop on the game/ventrilo and we all BS for countless hours, laughing at some of the dumbest things, and wracking our brains over running the LS. I wouldn't trade these achievements and memories for the Yagrush I am currently working on.

    Oooh, another favorite of mine. A few guys in my old shell wanted to go on a soboro run. So we hoof it up with a whm, rdm, pld, blu, and thf. I'm guessing more but I don't fully remember. At about 60%, he kills off our pld. Myself (blu/nin) and the thf co-tanked it to 20%, when an ls mate came running in with his wife (war and whm respectively) and finished it off, getting the drop. I don't think I've yelled that much and been so psyched about a single kill, ever.

    Another moment wasn't even for me, but was awesome, all the same. A long time friend of mine was needing the attestation for his Amano. So our shell comes up with a half-assed plan (go balls out, whms, rdms and schs spam cures on whomever). After watching him blast off WSs on the mnks, sams, wars, and drks, he drops as he gets ready to leave. A huge sigh of relief for the entire shell, and especially for him, since he had the amano less than 3 weeks later (congrats, Icedout, you little bastard!)

    Also, our first Dynamis Lord kill. My dynamis shell isn't an endgame shell and has relatively few requirements. So grabbing a bunch of players, some experienced with endgame stuff and others not-so-much, it was an awesome day for all. (If you need war drops in dynamis, come with us. I guarantee you 5/5 AF in 5 runs. I got mine in 5, and got the belt 2 weeks later.)

    CoP was easily the most painful fun achievement ever, was nice to finish it. Back when it first came out we had groups staying up till 4 am rotating in smns to AF for people on promy dem? mea? anyways that shit was awesome.

    Yeah, right.

    Airship BC way back when. 60 cap, Mammets > Omega > Ultima. Shit was fucking intense. I actually rose to my feet and cheered when we won.
    this. before merits, before SE gimped CoP. etc etc etc.

    and it wasn't a sense of accomplishment but sheer fun of being a part of well, a huge gathering. I dont remember all the details it was a few years ago, Vtra was a recent release and nobody on Bahamut had defeated it. NA or JP.

    There was this huge push to unite a ton of high lvl NA players and attempt to kill Vtra. I think Ubah was the name of the LS? 250+ people? I dont have to go into details how it turned out. I think Bahamut now knows this as "the great Moggy Massacre". so much fun back then.

    I completely forgot about my Maat kill, thanks guys. I had played BLM religiously after grinding WHM to 37. Obstacle after obstacle. I grabbed the best gear I could find to better my character. It was fantastic!

    Along came Maat. I nuked the shit out of him, and then he died. There was no need for strategy. That was also a great time I had. That and completing CoP 2-3. Heading to Tavnazia made me so happy. This was pre-nerf, mind you. We were doing Promyvion-Mea last, and our WAR/NIN left, and everyone was whining and wanted to stop. But I said no, and grabbed a WAR/MNK, which people were pissed off about. But, the Mithra WAR/MNK handled the fight remarkably. I wish blood tanking would become popular, because I never had so much fun in in-game fight-wise.

    I can name a few, it's been (and it is) a blast;

    • First 75 job (BLM); KRT manaburns were so much fun.
    • When our group was the first in the shell to beat Omega and Ultima and specially going through CoP. Not so for the storyline but because it was a big deal back then.

    And as far as most recent;

    • First Salvage piece (Marduk's shalwar)
    • Pretty much everything that happened since July '08. Including obtaining Absolute Virtue's title, but specially getting the Dalmatica because it was/is such a dream item for me.

    I remember this - I came out to watch when you first claimed, went to sleep and woke up to see you still fighting it. Epic!

    As for me - Seeing a good friend make a successful linkshell and being able to be an integral part of it's growth and success.

    Also, the first time i solo tanked a Wyrm, it was Jormungund and i tanked it on NIN back in....06 i guess? Took us 4 hours to win with only 14 people. I had the biggest headache after concentrating so hard for so long but it was a great feeling when we won.

    there are couble of blasting experiences I had in FFXI.

    Keeping 3 tanks alive in Divine Might as the only whm and mainhealer. This was pre shield-update. Fight was a blast.

    Completing Ultima and Omega Mission pre CoP mission nerfs, with only 5 people in 44:58 minutes (so close to time out!). Intense fight indeed.

    Completing my König set back in 2006! Was allways my dream armor, when I played PLD back then (now I dont even touch PLD).

    Getting D.ring of a by mistake Called for Help KB (member wanted to hit the disengage button). Fight lasted pritty long.

    First Jormungand fight, took us 2 hours to kill, pritty long time ago.

    My first real HNMLS "Pain". I miss so many people from that time. Stala, Yona, Nurion, Waterboy, Keiny, Omare, Pute (aka Luciferu), etc. etc.... so many people.

    Our very first Ground King "Aspidochelone" back then, I was sooo excited when my friend got his A.body.

    Soloing Detonator WSNM with BST in The Boyahda tree .

    FFXI is my first/only MMORPG, so I really enjoyed lowbie stuff like completing CoP, minor but difficult quests, stepping into Lufaise Meadows, hitting 75 the first time, RDM Maat and my Bee Spatha +1(still keeping it, haha).

    End-game wise, I'd say Hauteclaire(burn SE, rank 3 prize ; ; ), one of the first Ares's bodies in the server and misc. stuff.

    Also, leveling a second character all the way from zero(airship pass, rank missions, etc.) was fun. Sorta wanted the "newbie" feel again after years of endgame.
