Greatest Achievements in FFXI

Hitting RDM 75 in sky with a strange party involving a BRD PLD NIN and me since my exp party had disbanded with me like 2k to level.
Getting my RDM hat - still love that fucking cutscene so damned much.
Duoing BST to 75 with my fiance - was the best ding of all really, then doing random shit duo with him.
Duelist's hat dropping after so many years of being convinced it was a myth lol
Funniest thing I think was being convinced that "oh yeah we can go duo Bonze Marberry before the LS gets down to kill Hakutaku" on RDM with a friend... it went horrifically wrong, ended up with the tonberry population of the world on our asses, killed and GTFOed quickly but I think we were still giggling hysterically for about an hour afterwards.

Being part of the arrowburns in sky.
Soloing MNK to 75 on normal mobs mainly skeletons and pots with a RDM plvl before CoP was released.
Being one of the first getting a Tamas ring which I regretted cause I hated BLM anyway.
Staying up until 11am fighting our first tiamat. EU in NA shell eww.

My best achievement was getting Sky at 52 and getting Sea at 60 as well as being among the first group if not the first group on my server to finish TOAU. Honestly, people say I leeched it but I really didn't seeing as how I RDM healed my way through sky, and I leveled up along with CoP. It's what drove me to level up. 7-5 I guess you could say I leeched because I was only 60, but still. Edit: And that was pre-nerf CoP.
Getting 75 was also another achievement of mine. Took me about 3 years because I absolutely despised EXPing.
Oh, and killing Hakutaku at level 50. Back when people actually killed it. Probably 2004 or 2005? I was just a refresher but it was still pretty awesome to be a part of endgame so early.
Lastly, getting to Windy in WoTG on a level 20. I did this about 3 days ago and thought it was pretty amazing seeing as how I had just got the expansion too since I quit and came back.

These aren't really "great" but they made me feel the most satisfied:

• Dinging 75 PLD the old school way, eating tacos and being a huge MP sponge.
• Getting sky in about two days and seeing my first sky god. Our /lsmes simply read "SUNDAY GENBU" lol.
• Airship BC and sea access pre-patch.
• Doing 5-man Fafnirs and 8-man Nidhoggs, and subsequent explosions on Vent with each Ridill or EBody.
• Dinging into Byakko's Haidate.
• Getting my old linkshell's first Valor Surcoat in over two years, off a random mob with like 15 min left.
• Getting Deimos and Macha body drops on our group's first Salvage run, finishing my Ares's Cuirass, and helping a friend get 5/5 Morrigan's.
• About a week after being out-lotted on VBelt, getting Speed Belt from KS99.

Waaaaay Back in 04 killing Fafnir for the first time on Diablolos. The JPs were nice that day and let us try like 7 times wiping, home pointing and coming back to try again. We finally started to kill it regularly and went like 3/10 Ridills so I was lucky enough to be the 2nd NA on Diabolos with Ridill which was a nice accomplishment at the time. That day of wiping and fighting over and over was fun though. We just couldnt figure out where to stand for breaths;;

Yeah I suppose doing Airship BC was a highlight, thats probably the most use my NIN ever saw (I tanked) despite my burning desire to play it in endgame. LS Leader hated taru NINs.

I can't wait for FF14 content I hope we'll see it'll be as fun as FFXI challange i may have quit but FFXI to me still best MMO

Forgot about one, soloing the solo Level 20 Avatar fights because I really wanted to be a Summoner. Those fights were a blast!

Top 3 that I've always professed to are:
- Running through Beaucedine on Whm25 to get the Tele-Vazhl Crystal. It took me over an hour and I thought I was so fucking pimp when I got it.
- Completing CoP 6-4 with my static (pre-nerf), which we farmed every fight for (the extras like the Animas and whatnot all the way through CoP), after 23 attempts, we finally killed it. With generic jobs like Mnk, Whm, Rdm, Blm, War and Nin.
- Killing AV the first time (Aug 07). I stayed up until 7am that morning (it died at 2am) as the LS "celebrated" in the Hostel thingy that's a complete waste of space in Whitegate. Was so pumped, I couldn't sleep, and eventually did when I was in work the following day. :\

Also, Full Morrigan set would be up there if 6th Floor Madame would fucking put out that skany whore-faced bitch...

The most satisfying moments:

I carefully planned my first Maat for like 7days, spent time gathering all my meds (i took about 9 meds iirc) only to not need a single med, fight was rediculously easy.
Static`d CoP but we only ran once every week so friggin long time till it was completed, and omg the airship battle -_-; Was so relived when it was over.

Most noteables in order completed:

- Getting my first 75 - NIN
- Getting 100 Bonecraft (long process, but was worth it in the end)
- Leveling SAM in 1 week - long before lvl sync or smn burn
I got sky real quickly,
Told to level a mage job so decided to lvl DRK >.>
- Getting Are`s body for my 64 DRK
- *Leaving this one blank for something hopefully in the not to far distant future*

Strange to think about it now, but I was really proud the first time I stepped onto a Sandy airship in early 2004.

I still need to do this and I will certainly consider it a big deal.

Not a huge deal but we were at a Fafhogg camp at like eight in the morning on a Saturday. There were about 15 people there for the first window. We had five people there. 4 Black Mages and 1 Paladin(me.) Spawns first window and I claim. 3 Black Mages keeping me standing for about a half hour while the 4th was making phonecalls waking people up. That was hectic for me as at the time, my gear was still fairly basic and I was just learning the full potential of Pld/Nin in HNM. Needless to say when I saw our Aegis Paladin waddle his galka ass over to my paw, relief was abundant.

Other than that I would say finally getting an Assault Breastplate. Soloing things I had no business soloing as Paladin and duoing things with my Drg/Rdm buddy.

I would say becoming friends with my friends Aragon and xdark two of the nicest and most genuine people I've met in this game and I <3 them!!! Oh and getting abody that was really a hAppy day I was so happy and I still am. So many other moments as well including fun times with my friends on vent.

Beating Maat at 66 (Second try, I had to borrow some HQ staves from a BLM friend of mine, but it was awesome)
Getting Second Lieutenant Rank
Doing ZM17 before there was even a point (Pre-apocalypse Nigh, I was probably around lvl 57)
Doing Apocalypse Nigh
And doing Divine Might at level 54. Funny story too. I stayed /anon the entire fight, me and my friend were being funny trying to duo AA EV. We saw like 20 people in the zone and he managed to get us into the DM group. They didn't know I was only lvl 54, and it was a manaburn DM. They had me kite one of the AA's (the BST I think) and I didn't die until the last AA was up. It was amazing getting my DM ring that low.

Oh yes, these too! I remember standing outside Mhaura spamming Carbuncle over and over and over and over to get higher summoning magic skill to do more AF damage haha.

Getting my Byakko's Haidate for my NIN.

On my old server, I had tried over and over and ended up being 0/13 on them and my LS didn't run sky regularly. Then, I had all my NIN + other such gear stolen ( GM wouldn't give it back because it was someone who I gave my acct info to ;; ) and ended up moving to Lakshmi.

Here, I duo'd despot for the first time, it was 5 AM when we got him to pop and it ended up just being me and a DNC lol, I had to run back to town to get tools to nuke it. Then I got a diorite and killed ullikummi with my friend's RDM.

After we had the pops, we got my social LS together to go give it a whack, and I gotta say, tanking with almost no gear (lost my arhat's +1, eris earrings +1, dusk gloves +1, fuma sune-ate, etc) was quite an experience, but it was awesome. Even though it was just Byakko you dont realize how hard it is with inexperienced support + no sub tank (well, had a PLD/WAR who died quite quickly and after that never took hate lol) but I didn't even get hit down into yellow. Then they dropped, and I got.

Never gonna forget that night lol, I was shaking xD

-Getting my Yinyang robe at 73 in an epic battle of 5 versus adds ans would-be mpkers.
-Getting to 75 on Summoner and realizing what a mistake it was.
-Beating Airship before the nerf after so many fail attempts, and getting into Sea the following night.
-Moving to Carbuncle from Cerberus, and joining the uberest LS, Foodmonsters.
-Becoming the pimpest BLM and RDM on the server, and losing it all January 22nd to the ban-stick. How is that positive you ask? Well, I'm not playing FFXI anymore now am I? :3
