    I've been saying that for years now XD. Although, I also think there should also be a dark based dmg spell thats like a hybrid of drain/aspir. So you cast it on a mob, it does dmg, and the dmg it does is converted into mp. With those 2 options being more mp efficient wouldn't be as huge an issue as it is. I don't think it would break blm either except for maybe solo exp on puddings. Besides, we all know blm needs a dark based nuke. Having a 269 skill rating for dark magic and only have a total of 6 spells to use with it is totally absurd.

    (before someone jumps in with a smart assed comment about it.) Yes, I know there is the Staff WS Spirit taker, but come on. How often do blms get tp. And even if a blm2 did melee they would lose it when changing staffs for correct element/spell combo.

    This is how I always thought those 2 should be if SE would ever be so kind...

    Spell: Transmute - Does dark magic damage and transforms damage done into MP.
    Spell cost: 40 mp Casting time: 5 seconds
    Spell element: Dark Recast time: 2 minutes
    Magic skill: Dark Magic
    Level 45 BLM

    JA: Elemental Transmute - Augments next elemental magic spell to transform damage dealt into MP
    Recast time: 5 minutes
    Obtained: Level 60 BLM
    Duration: 1 Spell or 60 seconds, whichever comes first.

    My only wish in this update.....

    If Northlands [S] is being made available, I hope the Beastmen mobs there are plentiful enough so that they can be viable merit party exp options....oh, and they drop Bynes, Ordelle bronzepieces, and Whiteshells, since Jeuno influence hasn't reached Northlands [S] yet, the Beastmen still carry the old currency.

    That would work if they balanced it out by increasing the casting time of the next spell, making the spell have a -magic accuracy penalty, and doesn't stack with elemental seal. The magic accuracy penalty can be determined by the Tier casted where Tier 1 spells would give normal accuracy, and each tier greatly reduces accuracy so that AM II will give resists no better than 1/8th.

And ffs BLM should have access to Aspir II for the love of god they gave that Tier III ZNM flayer it so why the fuck dont we have it already x.x

    Good idea! Add a whole line of nukes and have them obsolete(actually: further obsolete) BLM's entire Merit 2 group.

    Add instant petrify, frog, and motherfucking instant death spells.

    Create a reflect effect that doesn't even exist in the game and give it to BLM.

    EDIT: Yeah, what BLM needs is more situations where they are only useful with other BLMs. That will get them out of the manaburns and into the WS heavy world of normal exp parties.

    EDIT: Also, why do people think adding nukes with equal damage is going to change anything? It is not like people are going to stop casting Thunder and Blizzard. What do you think they merited in Group 1?

    BRP kinda said what I was gonna say, what do you people want? BLM to be able to be the new BRD in merit pts? BLM is fine , sure it could use SOME updates here and there but what you all want is turning BLM in this all powerful job that can solo AV with one nuke.

    I do see a lot of room for BLM improvements, but none of them concern damage increase.

    EDIT: Well cept, maybe Curse. Even then that would be for MP/Enmity efficiency on Exp monsters.

    Agreed. The problem is party dynamics. Make some high-level/merit camps where you can easily obtain high chains if you have a nuker. Maybe make a mob type whose defense lowers after a certain amount of damage from a particular element is dealt, or give SC+MB some nice exp bonus. Between that and some new way of refreshing MP, BLM is back in exp/merit parties. No need to overthink this.

    Summoners are getting new avatars, no further updates are needed.
    Puppetmasters are not used at events because people don't understand the job, that is not to say it is not capable of performing at events.
    I did not say Beastmaster does not need an update, I believe it does.

    I know that lol , glad to see you think like me. I know PUP (a skilled/well geared/meritted etc) could be really useful at events but people just aren't open to stuff like that. It always takes a massive update to a "meh" job to most people to make it interesting enough to allow it in events.

    We just need an update so that those jobs are more suited for events.

    kinda glad everyone is rallying behind Beastmaster and agreeing that it really needs some work on..
    hopefully SE will respond in kind soon..

    SMN doesn't really need changes, it just needs the 3 year overdue 'avatars coming' avatars, which isn't to say it needs it at all, but its BS when they say it time and again just to not deliver.. but we know it'll likely come in this update anyway
