I guess this confirms that we are on pace for a total of 3 version updates this year (one for each add-on).

To put that another way, we haven't seen Lillisette since December. After she drops by in July, we'll see her again in 2010 :-/

It's because they delayed the spring update by over a month. Winter came out in December, but spring not until April. At least it'll only be three months between the spring and summer updates, so if they keep up the pace then hopefully we'll get the fall update in late October. Hopefully =/

I'm surprised (and pleased) that they've posted this notice so soon. This gives us a month and a half of teasers and speculation, when they usually only give us a month.

When talking about the pace of updates, keep in mind they have probably been focusing on E3 and FFXIV in the short term. Also probably why the first update announcement is rather late and right after E3.
