Would be broken honestly and would never happen, but a THF can have dreams if nothing else.
If 2 maths equations are equal on paper, how can one be better in realiity >.>?
I thought it was pretty much a duh that you take skillchain opportunities as they come in merit pt's atm. (Although you still need to be aware, if you're running 6 hits every 5 times either melee waits an extra swing you better get 3 skillchains and hope they don't all get resisted, or you've lost dmg.)
I thought we were discussing actual parties designed around sc/mb. That's what I was commenting about.
On paper there is a hidden value that is not part of the equation when you look at Gekko. Gekko has a hidden attack bonus that increases the pDIF value. I've heard and seen parses that would suggest something around a 3 digit attack bonus or 0.20 added to the final pdif.
I thought so too... This whole thing was more of a discussion of not trying to replace TP burns with SC+MB, but creating a situation where players could create parties designed towards SC+MB so that they can co-exist with TP burns and get the same amount of exp/hr, which is what I believe most people want.
If that was the argument in question then my argument is obsoete (And as far as I'm aware: other good DDs look out for SCs as mentioned anyway)
I don't think you should build a PT around SC/MB ever unless you're a smaller sky/hnm shell who need/want SC for MBs. Meritwise it's just not worth it, but I just wish everyone would knew their SC options anyway. It really is worth learning.
For example, for Thf 90% of what I do with a party is Nyzul, if we're fighting something and I see a Gekko when I have over 90% TP, then as soon as I can WS I'm gonna pop an Evis over a DE incase I can get some extra darkness damage.
Every DD should be on the look out for instances similar to this (instances around the examples on page 4 posted), because holding off 2 seconds for a possible 600-1600 dmg SC is always worth it.
As regards to Y/G/K, I was not aware Gekko had a bigger Att/pdif boost than Yuki/Kasha. Is there proof of this, or are the "three big" Sam WSs the exact damage as I had assumed?
I feel like PUP will get something this coming update.

Still looking forward to the update no matter what happens. Hopefully something good.
