Looking for some cult films.

Yeah that's a conversation we've had a couple of times now. Whether or not a movie remains a cult classic when the mainstream media finally picks up on it. We've yet to come to a concrete conclusion for ourselves lol.

Brick was absolutely phenomenal. I was not a fan of In Bruges. Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang I thought was decent, but I had a friend who kept hyping it up. So when I finally did see it, it was a letdown.

For those of you who haven't seen Brick it's a detective noir type movie set in high school. Absolutely fantastic movie if you can keep up with the dialogue.

I tried to pick out movies from my collection that were not mentioned yet. Of course I also have many of the movies already mentioned and would agree with most of the picks above.

I also agree with Brill the definition of cult is foggy at best and to just seek out "cult" movies is a little bit of a pipe dream. Really my thoughts on a cult classic is just a great movie that was little known. Or often it is considered a movie that tanked in the theaters completely and utterly but then became a huge success on DVD with a huge cult like following. Like Harold and Kumar and Big Lebowski both of those movies have spawned festivals and numerous fanatical fans.

Also in college, everyone and their brother told me to see two movies, and only two movies, and those were Boondock Saints and Suicide Kings. I don't know if that means they're cult films or not, but they certainly had a cult of fans that I knew.

Suicide Kings was a good flick as well. Boondock Saints is surprisingly well known now.

is Repo Man the actual name of the movie or do you mean Repo! The Genetic Opera, which is also a cult movie (imo) and the main character is the Repo Man. Also I recommend the original book Battle Royale is based on, its fucking epic.
