Well, to put it bluntly none of those add much roleplaying to a game where roleplaying is nigh nonexistent. You can only credit Fallout 3 with having a little more roleplaying than something like Halo where there isn't even more than one roleplaying choice.

Name and looks have not enough consequence on the game so we can ignore that. Gender(or Race) might(really didn't in Fallout 3 though), but that only leaves one choice. Alone it would never be enough.

You've made decisions, but their consequences have little to do with changing the scenario. At most what you do in Fallout is change the aesthetics(ie: characters you can talk to being alive or not, the ending which isn't apart of the mechanics/what you play.) Your environment has been changed, but only in the same fashion shooting someone in Call of Duty would.

You can call Fallout 3 a FPSRPG if only because it has more RP than Halo, but I wouldn't. If I did it would leave a huge chuck of games that play nothing like RPGs in that genre. It would be like calling Starcraft an action game or Zelda a puzzle game.

What I am saying right now is that there are no videogames in the videogame RPG genre. Some people really don't like that, especially if they have been calling their games as such for several decades(that or read articles/reviews by people who did.) When we can call games RPGs is going to be a point of contention. Someone might say right now, I might say 30-50 years from now, others might say never or 100+ years from now with AIs and shit.

the farragut west metro stop is completely inaccurate, i dont care how far in the future the game takes place, there is no river next to it. definitely no overpasses. also my ex gf works for bethesda softworks and she is a total cunt, so that keeps me from enjoying the game as well.

I don't see why the game is called Mass Effect. I mean I know what it is within the game's world, but like... it doesn't have anything to do with anything. It would be like naming Final Fantasy "Chocobo"
