Countersquall/hindering light till priviledged position.
You're probably lost by then if you are playing extended/legacy. Or you are in a position where you will be losing <_<
So in a moment of weakness I decided to purchase a box of Magic 2010 boosters.
I didn't get a whole lot of what I wanted but it looks like I did get a couple profitable cards.
I ended up getting 2 Baneslayer Angels (and 1 of them is a foil). TrollandToad are buying them for $20 (normal) and $35 (foil).
Do you think I should keep or sell them? It's a nice card, but $35 for one card is quite a bit.
You can probably get about 50 bucks in cards if you trade for what you need. Honestly, I'd hang on to the Baneslayers for a bit it seems like they'll be around for the duration of standard (barring anything ridiculous from Zendikar) but selling them back shouldn't even be considered unless its to a private party for a bit more than those prices.
FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF I haven't play MTG in years. Was a great way to pass time during deployment. My wife and I still have all our cards, from Unlimited to Odyssey. We buy the occasional boost pack now, just to see what's new. Every now and then we will grab our cards and throw together random decks just for shits. Don't play like I did in the past though. No more tourneys or drafting...
oh and... THE CHEESE STANDS ALONE!
There's an actual deck that was playable in sanctioned events that was named that. It basically did the same thing if I recall lol.
bayou d.rit d.rit lotus lich illusions // fastbond eureka colossus colossus concordant crossroads win.
my bestest , but not only, turn one
pity i never take the time to tourney, i must really suck.
I played against it in a 2 headed giant match. They won. 1 deck was pure control, the other was the combo lol, so annoying.
lol, losing to alternate win condition is never a good experience
Looking at some of the partial spoiler on Zendikar, good fucking god it's kinda insane, Double striking lackey, 2/2 haster for R, and avalanche rider without echo, looks like goblin will be top tier again this coming standard.
God, it was such a nightmare in onslaught block too...
So on friday my local shop had the Planeschase pre-release tournament. I will admit that this new variation of magic does have a lotta potential and it was quite fun to play.
I missed all of the planechase fun this weekend. I'll probably pick up one of the decks so I can play EDH planechase.
I did see the enemy colored fetchlands though, who's ready to spend hundreds on playsets of those guys? Lol
W/B fetch please :3 I'm mostly just happy that Mind Funeral will be at least a little less broken as fuck once Zendikar is released and people are running like 50% land.
why would people be running 50% land?
Idk <_<;;;
Knight of the Reliquary + that new Baloths 6/6 trample card + oracle of mul daya = fuck yeah
They reprinted a new wrath, so aggro can shove it lol. 5cc is probably going to be kinda bad if they don't reprint bitchin' counters. On a side note: Made 2nd (cause we split since I was tired and it was 10packs anyways) with kithkin. Was pretty nice.
You never know. Control already runs around 40%-45% land and with the new landfall ability it might be worth it to throw a few more in there for landfall effects.
28 lands in a 60 card deck is roughly 47%, and I have never seen anything but land.dec and seismic swans run more than 27, really.
I'm playing B/r control in standard right now and I run 26, because 5 land by turn 5 is my magic number. I know 5cc runs 27, because they need 7 by turn 7. 5cc probably will be dead anyway with the rotation of vivid lands and reflecting pool, which is really what made it viable in the first place.
