I'll take whatever I can get, I like them a lot more than the normal lands and want to use em in my decks as much as possible.

I'll round up what I can this weekend and send them out on Monday or so. Just pm me your address sometime before then and I'll let you know when I send it out.
awesome, thanks
Baneslayer will probably be reprinted, but as of now we don't have a confirmation.
I completely forgot Mystic was rotating out, but I still think the card will see play because its an artifact and has unique abilities.
Anyone with sac lands please PM me if interested in trading. Also, Mystics I will trade for.
Well Two Headed Giant tournament went really well last night. I am loving sealed more and more. My friend and I ended up placing 7th out of 18 teams so we did make the playoffs. Which was better than I expected because we got a really crappy pull, no synergy cards were completely scattered but we did pull it together and make two halfway decent decks that did fairly well. I played a white/red deck with lots of artifact hate and my friend played a blue/black deck with some control elements.
I will have to start going to those more often so much fun.
I just did regionals here and I got fucking creamed because of a fucking mistake I made with registering my deck. While writing out my Side board I accidentally left out 1 card. They gave me a game loss for doing that. That killed the entire day for me and I just played horrible. Only good thing about today was there was a draft afterwords and I rare drafted the fuck out of it.
Wonder how the regionals or w/e next week will go. I'm not sure if I want to continue to use my Infect or use this new U/B exhaustion I'm working on.
Wondering if I could get feedback on a deck I'm looking at building.
16x Forest
4x Scute Mob
4x Liege of the Tangle
4x Khaini Heart Expedition
4x Cultivate
4x Growth Spasm
and 4 free cards that idk what to use, any advice? thinking asceticism or withstand death, or maybe 2 of each
the goal being to get as much land out as possible, build up the scute mobs, awaken the land, and wipe out the opponent. I'm worried about defense for the first couple turns, and I don't have much in the way of counters or instants, so I'm not sure how viable this is. Also I am assuming that the KHExpeditions can chain, like if I finish one the two lands I get form it count on the others, if multiple expeditions are in play.
also working on a lifegain deck, looking at
20x Plains
4x Felidar Sovereign
4x Archon of Redemption
4x Rest for the Weary
4x Celestial Mantle
4x Sunspring Expedition
4x Emeria Angel
4x Endless Horizons
4x Gold Myr
4x Sunseed Nurturer
4x Brave the Elements
Deck looks vulnerable early game. Have alot of high mana spells your ramping into your mana curve could use some more low-mid cost stuff. Anything from Soul Sisters deck could help you. Its lifegain mostly comes from the ETB effect of Soul Warden and Soul's Attendant the "sisters" to power up Ajani's Pridemate and Serra Ascendant both of who would do well in your deck. Theres also Suture priest in New Phyrexia who gains life plus hurts your opponent should you actually need to kill them to win. My suggestions would be to drop some the Archons and Celestial mantles for early stuff like Ajani's pridemate and Serra Ascendant both early drops that scale well into your late game and Wall of omens to dig faster and defend from early pokes. Could also drop Emeria Angel all together since your not running Fetch lands to abuse her landfall.
Hey Qal, I know you said you were new to the game, so a few tips:
1. Lifegain is the most meaningless stat/ability in Magic, unless you are "gaining infinite" life via a combo. In general, gaining 10-15 life only means 1-2 turns against a good deck that has taken board position on you. There cards end up being better than yours, and you get pushed out.
2. Card advantage is the best "thing" in Magic. Blue is the best color in Magic, and it isn't even close (black is the 2nd best).
Random I know, but may be helpful to you.
well the Felidar Sovereigns alter the win condition, because I want something other than just hitting until they die. I don't have enough of the right cards for a mill deck.
Mill decks and lifegain decks are fun in casual against other people running slower decks but if you are trying to build a deck to take to FNM both strategies are way too slow and way too easy to counter. Like Welt said lifegain will only delay the inevitable by a couple turns if you are lucky, if the deck you are playing against is halfway decent they won't even really notice. Generally I try to stay away from either of those strats for my standard decks.
Welt is also correct about card advantage, just straight forward card advantage gained via card draw is extremely powerful, then if you include things like cards that create a 2 card swing on the battlefield like Gatekeeper of Malakir card advantage is the most important thing to consider.
at the moment its mostly just playing with friends, nothing super serious. also I haven't done any multicolor decks yet (other than prebuilt theme decks(, I'm much better seeing strategies with mono, so any advice on that?
Elves' decks in green.
Mono black control might be decent after the new set.
Red is always a contender with either goblins or just "fast" beatdown in general.
Mono blue is awful these days.
Mono white is usually white weenie strategies, but it hasn't been good in a long time.
I think MBC is going to get a huge kick in the pants with this new set. Mono-blue is amazing in legacy/vintage or commander but it requires some stupid expensive cards.
I always love mono green elves.
Classic color combos are blue/white for a control deck, green/white beatdown deck, blue/black midrange control, green/red beatdown.
Oh, just so you know, all of my one liners above refer to Standard/Type2.
Here's a deck I saw on MTG. I like the idea of it but I'm so sure about running it.
4 Darkslick Shores
4 Drowned Catacomb
4 Island
2 Marsh Flats
4 Scalding Tarn
3 Swamp
2 Tectonic Edge
2 Verdant Catacombs
25 lands
4 Hedron Crab
1 Wurmcoil Engine
5 creatures
4 Archive Trap
4 Doom Blade
2 Duress
3 Haunting Echoes
4 Inquisition of Kozilek
4 Jace Beleren
1 Liliana Vess
4 Preordain
4 Trapmaker's Snare
30 other spells
Sideboard
4 Black Sun's Zenith
2 Duress
3 Go for the Throat
3 Ravenous Trap
3 Wurmcoil Engine
15 sideboard cards
I've got the majority of the cards for the deck. All I need is 1 more Black sun, 3 more wurmcoils, and of course those fucking Inquisitions.
So, I tried this deck in a cutthroat here and my god the match ups were awful. First match up was a glinthawk aggro deck, next was a B/U control infect, and then a Eldrazi deck. I thought I managed to deck the Eldrazi deck till he showed me his graveyard. Boy, was I swearing.
Debating about whether or not i should try it in the national qualifiers here or stick with my U/B infect.
Has anyone here ever sold cards online? What's the best way to do it, bundle everything, bundle all the medium and crappy with and single every good one, or single anything that could be worthwhile and scrap the rest because it's never gonna sell? Also, how can you easily calculate the amount of card for the commons and uncommons? Are 5$ Inquisition of Kozilek uncommon or 2$ go for the throat in the common box, or part of the bundle? How do you set a price?
