So glad I sold my set of Stoneforges to a dealer for $60 last week.

K, so here is my new Mill deck. It's nothing super but I'm pretty pleased with the changes. I'm open to ideas though.

Creatures:
3 Hedron Crab
2 Porcelain Legionaires(Why the fuck not, 3/1 first strike for 3 or 2 and 2 life)
1 Spellskite(Foil!)

Planeswalkers:
4 Jace Beleran

Spells:
4 Archive Trap
3 Go for the Throats(or Doomblade depending)
2 Praetor's Grasp
3 Tome Scour
2 Gitaxian Probe
4 Mana Leak
4 Preordains
3 Trapmaker's Snare
3 Haunting Echoes
2 Black Sun's Zenith

Land:
4 Darkslick Shores
4 Drowned Catacombs
4 Scalding Tarns
4 Swamps
4 Islands

Pretty sure that's 60. I'd like to run maybe 24 land to be safe but I have no idea what I'd even take out.

Thoughts?

A set for $60!? Why don't you people bring me these deals...

You got ripped, even with the theme decks stoneforge will always maintain $15+ 2 months after release of the theme deck.

Its good in legacy/extended/Standard, and will only get better with time. The theme decks are a limited run, will sell out, and then price will go back up. You do know you can get $90-100 guaranteed on ebay right?

Dealers pay a little over half, they weren't even at $25 when I sold them. Seeing as I got them all from team drafts it was 100% profit.

Also, selling on Ebay really isn't worth it anymore unless your doing it in bulk. Since Ebay bought out paypal they have murdered people with fees, hell they are even taking 10% of the shipping fee now.

Still a great place to buy though.

MaRo said JTMS won't be reprinted, so it's either Belerin or a new Jace. 99% it's just Belerin.

Boring...but he is a 4-of in many o decks in an environment without JTMS.

I wish they would make a third new Jace version. I can imagine a hybrid between the two that would be fine. Like JTMS with three abilities instead of 4. Make brainstorm a -1 ability and make the bounce ability the +1 or something along those lines.

I like throwing Traumatize and Jace's Erasure into my mill deck.

I like Traumatize but I personally find it too costly and what would I even take out for it?

Also, I had a bunch of cards stolen from me the other day. Lost a Gurrak, Foil Spellskite(From my mill deck), a couple of Birds of Paradise and some other shit. Not in a good mood about that.

Jace's Erasure is far too slow to be worthwhile. If you build an entire deck around Jace's Erasure then you might make it work but your deck would have to be full of draw cards.

Split a box with a couple buddies, opened 12 packs the other day and ended up with a Sword of W & P and a Batterskull. In two booster boxes we opened we ended up with 11 mythics total including 2 swords, 1 Karn, 2 Batterskull, 2 Obliterators, and 4 Praetors.

I still need to get 2 Obliterators for my MBC deck. The sword and Batterskull will go into EDH decks for now.

So June looks like a big month for magic. Biggest thing is probally the release of Commander aka EDH preconstructed decks. Haven't seen much talk of EDH in this thread, was wondering what people's opinion of the format are and If anyone is gonna start with these decks. I never played EDH/Commander but working on a deck atm but will use one the new decks as a stepping stone into the format.

Commander previews start the 6th(some are starting to leak now)

I love it, my friends and I play it every week before Legacy. We play casual-competitive (competitive, but no douche stuff like Crucible-Strip lock). My 'pet' decks are Xiahou Dun (mono black) & Karrthus/Kresh. I have others, but those are the only 2 I'm actively trying to pimp out. Xiahou Dun is almost entirely Japanese non-foil and Karrthus/Kresh is almost entirely English foil.

I love EDH and my playgroup has gotten very heavily into EDH and I have three decks constructed right now, a sacrifice engine deck built around Thraximundar, an all wall deck (all creatures in it have defender except the commander) built around Duran, and a mono blue heavy control deck built around Arcanis, the Omnipotent.

Lots of fun.

I'm still at 0 Obliterators after 2 boxes and misc packs.

On a side note, has anyone pulled any NPH Goblin Tokens? I've pulled and seen 0. Pulled a ton of Golems though.

I've only seen Myr and Golem Tokens and that's after buying 2 boxes myself and seeing a good 10 or so other boxes being opened.

I've also decided to make a Knight/Kithkin EDH deck.
