Visions of Beyond is pretty much the first good card we have seen from the set besides maybe Jace.

Picked up DOTP12 the other day off Steam and it's ok.. Having been retired from the game (both playing and judging) for so many years, it was nice to come back and shake off some of the rust.
The gameplay seems very clunky, and you're unable to react appropriately in some spots as well.. the biggest example of this is during combat - you have almost no time to react with a spell or ability during combat, and it is damned impossible to react between the time blockers are declared and damage is dealt. On the other hand, progression through the game is very impressive. As you move up the ladder the game teaches players not just the basics, but how to do some of the more intuitive tricks in the game (via the 1v1 encounters).
I will admit I expected more from the game, like a level for Draft and/or Sealed Deck, or being able to deconstruct the pre-made decks and build your own using all the cards & decks you'd won. That just seems like a more natural progression in my view than a more casual format like Archenemy; although that's not to say casual formats should be excluded.
Pretty much this M12 is far from exciting so far. Theres still new Garruk/Chandra and Grim Lavamancer is pretty awsome but beyond that what is there? Titan reprints are cool but not like omg wow. New vamps are mediocre. Illusions are decent but other colors are getting hosed on their tribes. Planeswalker's signature cards are kinda neat but not really amazing plus they remove the uncommon cycle and kept the trash Jace's erasure and Garruks companion.
M12 is shaping up to be random EDH cards set for me lol.
Dunno the controls for steam or xbox, but with the PS3, you just need to hit square whenever that countdown bar pops up, then you get all the time in the world to do instant/ability shenanigans.
I'm happy trollshroud is getting keyworded, and as such will get a smack of creatures to run it out. Once the update rolls out, I can just enter the keyword into MTGO and get what I want. Just a shame Giant Growth won't be there to go with them =\.
Shame about Giant Growth but it wasn't really seeing play, apparently it was in the set really late into design but was removed last minute due to its interaction with a yet to be unveiled card prob broke limited play. Also more spoilers

Also confirmed reprints Mana leak and Solemn Simulacrum.
Warstorm Surge looks like something that already existed... I can't put my finger on it though. (edit: Electropotence, dur)
Also, I want them to spoiler more 2~3 drops.

Rusted Sentinel
Rusted Sentinel enters the battlefield tapped.
Did people like Bloodthirst? I never cared for the mechanic.
It wasn't around when I had stopped playing.. it looks pretty damn ridiculous combined with landwalk/flying/unblockable or a Tim ability tho.
Bloodthirst is for people who like big dumb beater its hardly a real ability in my eyes really since most cards with it only have Bloodthrist so they are basically vanilla creatures. Its flavorful for some cards and its a good tool for teaching new players to not just cast shit before combat but its simply just not appearing on good cards. Barbarian is the only decent bloodthrist card I've seen so far since it can be a 3/3 2drop and has pseudo evasion if they lack alot of creatures.
Before anyone goes oh what about Vamp lord, it looks alot better then it actually is its best to just think of it as a potential 6/6 flyer for 5mana. It doesn't do anything turn it hits the board, its supposed to help your smaller vamps but you want your small guys out early before it hits the table and if your holding any small vamps in hand its for removal or board wipes in which the vamp lord either be wiped or eat the removal first. Lacking static bonus is pretty huge no matter how big it can potentially make your other vamps and also its important to note that it says "when you cast a vampire it gains bloodthirst" so it doesn't boost Bloodghast recursion or any other reanimated creature.
Holy God, all of the cards in this set BLOW. Hurray for every decent card besides the blue draw card being a reprint. Lame.
Oblivion Ring reprinted - that is sweet. M10/M11 dual land set confirmed for M12 - that is boring as hell.
Mono black should be good:
Hexmage
Obliterator
Despise
Durress
Inquisition
Nighthawk (blah sideboard maybe)
Hex Parasite
Memoricide
Grave Titan
Black Sun Zenith
Ratchet Bomb
Dismember
Doom Blade
Go For the Throat
I still think black/blue would be better, but Obliterator is pretty damn good. I guess it becomes ass with O Ring back in standard.
Oblivion ring reprint is pretty awesome hope it becomes a core staple for awhile. Monoblack is on the verge I think it being a serious deck depends on Innistrad but already know its getting an awesome card in that set with Bloodgift Demon. As for M12 decided against getting a box theres 50 cards left to be spoiled and theres still nothing I'm really excited this set it pretty much random Commander cards.
still not seeing mono black being competitive short of innistrad throwing in something retarded like dark rit reprint or a viable variance.
NECROPOTENCE GET U SUM
After Phyrexian Etching, I'm not all that excited about possible variance of shitty Necropotence they'll do.
Not even sure why people are excited about the Arena on the stick spoiled.
EDH obviously
