Wow, that Liliana might be one of the worst Planeswalkers ever, lol.
Which sucks because she is my favorite one.
Edit: Acutally, it could be really good with Graveyard effects, but likely not until the 3rd set is released from this block...

The new EBT lands are nice, first time they have done non-pain enemy dual color lands?
Yeah, I really like those lands. Ghost Quarter is OP as hell in legacy / Vintage decks........wowwwww
New Liliana is a will be good card. Going into a block with graveyard mechanics so theres no way it won't be good eventually but will probably be lackluster till Dark Accession fuels more graveyard based decks. Gonna be interesting to see what comes out of new metagame. Alot of decks getting hit super hard by rotation or completely gone. Decks not getting hit much or at all out of the current crop Tempered Steel, Puresteel W/U, U/B control and birthing pod(which has a million variations).
My predictions: Mentor of the meek+ Invisible Stalker will form spiritual successor to caw-blade. Birthing pod/Tempered steel will be early favorites and Smallpox might be a card to keep an eye on. Jace3.0 might be decent but meh.
meh, it's a reprint from Ravnica - it doesn't see play over wasteland at all though in Legacy. It will see a lot of play in Modern, though.
Wait, you can still get a dual land against it right, lol
Nope. It says basic land card. Not basic land type.
Then I dunno why it wouldn't be used in some boards.
Today's WotC previews
Thank god the storm is in blue, and expensive. But I'm wary, making shit free tends to be dangerous.
Metagame will determine the noble's usefulness. But as a 1/1 for 1, it could be worse.
And one from ChannelFireball
Spoiler: show
Now that is one scary fucker.
No, that card is awful, lol...
I can't wait for the Pre-release and watch my two Judge friends get harassed with "HOW DO I DO THE DOUBLE SIDED CARDS WITHOUT SLEEVES" I'mma laugh so hard.
Turn 1: One drop critter (Hello Diregraf Ghoul)
Turn 2: High Priest
Turn 3: cast a removal spell on your opponent's stuff (you're black, you aren't exactly lacking for choices), tap 3, get your 5/5 flier.
Turn 4: SWING!
Stick a single Memnite on ANY of those first three turns, and it works. That is not an impossible hand to get.
Alternately, instead of removal, pick a critter that can sac itself (Dross Hopper works), and cast that turn 3.
could've had some use in standard if Zendikar didn't rotate :/
Question for you guys. I just bought a decent sized ~2k card lot of magic cards on Craigslist this morning. Going through them so far I have found 1 revised(3rd edition) Tundra, 1 Legends Eureka, and 4 Force of Will. The Tundra and Eureka have seen moderate play showing scratches on the backs and wear around the edges of the cards.
How much would you expect to be able to sell them for? I would like to recoup the cost of buying the lot of cards by selling a few of them so I can keep the rest to play with.
Advantage? If you use a sac creature, ok yeah, that gets a card advantage.
If it's removal vs. removal, there's no advantage, just an even trade. But, if I've managed to force you to respond to an "awful" card that easily, making you burn some removal, then it's not really that awful.
Yeah, Hopper isn't great, it's just the first CMC < 3 with a sac I could find in standard, there might be something better in Innistrad, or that I missed in SoM/M12.
I wouldn't say Memnite is terrible, especially if you're running 1 drops like that ghoul. Not a turn 2 I'd be overjoyed to be on the end of.
Garruk Relentless/Veil Cursed

Seems decent splash able makes tokens for free but dangerous to flip him. Even just using him as green creature removal isn't that bad On another note since alot of people I've talked to have missed it, Transform cards will not appear like regular cards in packs instead every pack will have least 1 transform card which replaces a common slot. So Garruk will share the transform card slot will rare/uncommon/common ones so depending how the slot falls Garruk might be rather hard to come by. But that does mean theres gonna be 3 mythic packs out there.
