Evolving wilds spoiled. BIG step for mana fixing.

Genesis Wave'd for 33 in a 4player EDH game tonight and all 3 opponents were like "gg I'm out" lol. feels good man.
Drogskol Captain~ Like W/U needed to be better. Set looks fun for limited but slightly lacking for contructed. The hurt/sac humans feels a little forced on some cards. Theres no reason cards like Scorch the fields shouldn't hit all creatures.
Innistrad was so good; why is this set so awful?
The spirit captain is really good for U/W o.O
Yeah I was super excited about this set at first because of the flavor and mythology involved now I am just sad. I barely see anything that will be exciting in constructed, except maybe Sorin but since he is one of the few desirable cards in the set for STD he will be way over valued. Well and the blue/white lord for spirits might be fun to play around with.
That being said all the crappy cards in the set do look like they will make sealed and draft fun.
Disappointed in how weak Spirits still are without dipping into Kamigawa crap. They could have made for a fun W/B weenie situation. Drogskol Captain is pretty rad, but I don't think he's enough on his own.
Also, Sorin goes white/black and Lingering Souls, and Vault of the Archangel are the only cards in the entire set that actually follow that color combo? Bleh.
I have actually built a white/black deck in Innistrad draft on two separate occasions. In limited at least that combo is super awesome. I ran mostly zombies for creatures with a couple humans and one or two vampires mixed in and then had removal from white it worked out great, granted that was Innistrad and draft but I really liked those decks and did well with them. I think it would be fun to make a good white/black deck for standard but the most likely deck for me to build after this set comes out is blue/white.
Anyone else going to prerelease this weekend? I am going on Saturday for Sealed and I am looking forward to it. This set seems like it will be fun for limited. Not sure how good it will be for standard yet though.
I'm going to midnight prerelease sealed tonight, but nothing on Saturday and Sunday. I'm not expecting to do well since I have pretty much 0 experience with sealed and I honestly haven't really been looking DKA in terms of limited power, but I'm looking forward to doing something other than Innx3 draft.
I'm going to the pre-release on sat. I love pre-releases. only downside is with my kuck I'll pull a Sorin or two and have to pass
Why the hell would you pass? Its worth more than any prerelease prize, lol.
Also, you switch colors even if you pull it 3rd pack.
First off, prerelease events can no longer be drafts (at least if they are official) second, I believe he is talking about the practice that some stores participate in where you open 6 packs, write down a list of the cards in those packs and then hand the cards and the list over to a judge who then redistributes the cards out. It is a tool to prevent cheating. Though it isn't very popular due to things like that happening.
On the other hand I could be completely off base here.
You are on base if stores kept it official, but hardly any due (if they did, they would likely be out of business).
Most our stores start prerelease night and run 24/7 drafts until the end of Sunday. Things get kicked off with official sealed.
If you are in a draft, do not pass Sorin, lol.
Obviously. I would draft a sorin so fast its not even funny. I don't care what colors I was drafting I would take a hit on the dead draft for the sorin. My store only does official prerelease events so no drafts for us though there are drafts coming up in the next couple weeks. My store does pretty good though all three events (tonight's midnight sealed, tomorrows afternoon sealed, and Sundays 2hg) are all booked at 48 people per event I believe which is a lot for that little tiny store. The owner just had to expand the store out to accommodate more magic players.
Ya, I was talking about 6 pack sealed. I wouldn't pass sorins in draft. I may be stupid but I'm not retarded.
Split top 4 of 48people netting me 18packs. Won a 8man draft right before it too. My draft deck was pretty sick and my sealed pool was also pretty bonkers. Also, moment of heroism doesn't give flying lol
