Doubtful, the main issue there is how bw tokens is almost totally from the innistrad block, and loses very little effectiveness cutting out core set and the mirrodin block, whereas most other effective deck types in standard need those cards to function.

Lingering Souls is an amazing card in multiple formats, but it pretty much broke block constructed.

On MODO, all of the top performing decks ran W tokens + R for Hellrider/B for Sorin and flashback/G for Gavony and Garruk.

Speaking of that, Lingering Souls and Intangible Virtue got banned in Block Constructed.. how long until one or both sees the axe in Standard?

No reason to ban either of them in standard. They are not that powerful in standard to warrant a ban.

The issue in block vs standard is that most of the removal that keeps the balance with tokens, DoJ, Ratchet Bomb, ect, don't exist in block.

Inclined with go with Elesh. -2/-2 can clear other players weak creatures and tokens. Flying spirit are pretty common right now, those tokens would be chump blocking Avacyn.
Avacyn is definitely a beast. I'll get her for EDH.

Did read about Avacyn and board wipes, like Planar Cleansing, WoG, Armageddon, etc. One-sided destruction ftw.

Elesh Norn for sure. Avacyn doesn't do anything to the board when she comes into play. Even if the opp has an answer for Elesh Norn, it's still usually a one sided board wipe once it comes down.

Avacyn has flavor, but she doesn't seem very good in the current standard environment with vapor snags and tragic slips being so prevalent and just about every deck running sword of war and peace.

Ya, that's really not that impressive.

Norn comes out and if you're running a Low toughness creature deck(Tokens for example) Norn can make you scoop. That comes out and you can throw chumps infront of it till you get an O Ring then completely fuck their Board. Norn is a game changer.

It could have an effect in the Legacy (Reanimator) and EDH worlds, but otherwise it just looks pretty ATM.

I still definitely want one just to have fun in a legacy Reanimator deck.

Seem like Kaalia EDH is the only place where she belongs.

I mean I can't imagine a situation where I reach 8 mana and the indestructibility on my permanents are relevant enough without already winning the game by that point.

And as mentioned, Elesh Norn is more relevant in the current meta, and Jin is better as reanimating target. I don't think she'd see play in standard until Vapor Snag rotates

If she makes an impact in Standard it won't be until Elesh Norn and the titans are out of rotation come october depending on what replaces the titans in 2013 core set.

Yes, Dungeon Geists' effect fizzles out, as the original target does not exist anymore. The resummoned creature is an entirely new creature on the battlefield (same card used to play it, new creature that came from it.)

Anyone here play commander? It's pretty big at my store, so I'm looking to build a deck but don't know how to start. Some people were telling me to build Riku since I have the manabase for it since I play RUG in Legacy, but his abilities seem kind of boring. Is Jhoira any fun?
