There's also that 3/1 guy that hits your opponent for the # of humans you have in play. Idk how much of the creatures are humans tbh lol, just a thought.

That guy was nuts in my sealed pool last week. I ended up playing UR Humans as my main deck and BG as an alternate since it had my removal. The Human deck had:

Malcontents + Closet + Justice was insane. I would use the damage from Justice as removal for their creatures and smack them with the Malcontent. It kinda felt like I was playing Astral Slide. Also got a Cavern in my pool, so that worked out nice in my deck.

I also got to cast Dreadwaters for 13 in one game

Immediately sold the Temporal Masteries and made all my money back.

Never trade packs. 3-0'd a draft last night and my friend wanted to trade one of his prize packs for one of mine because he likes Gisela. I crack open the pack he gives me and get crap. He cracks the pack I give him and pulls vexing devil and foil entreat the angels.

But I can't speak much better, last FNM I ended up grabbing 4x of the 2/4 lifelink angel + the soulbond lifelink guy. I had some games end with me at 40+ life.

4x Think Twice and 4x Second Guess. Cast/flashback a Think Twice on your opponent's upkeep, then Second Guess them in main step.

4 mana for draw filtering, card advantage, and a hard counter, and all the cards are independently useful outside the combo too.

The trolololololololol aspect is a bonus.

So in a week my local game store is holding a standard pauper tournament for FNM. Commons only and std legal. Anyone have any ideas? Last time I went I played black/blue delver/control type deck which was fun but it was a little bit tiresome that EVERYONE (except 2 people) was playing blue/something delver. This time around I was thinking of maybe doing black/red because red is really strong right now and black has tons of removal plus it would allow me to cast vault skirge without paying life and vault skirge was amazing in pauper.

Help me out guys!

Edit: Just noticed the pauper tournament got moved to June 29th so I have some time.

Came back last night from the Minneapolis GP. There was some 1100 people there. I came in 312th place with my Token Deck. Here's the Deck List. Also, I only lost to an opponent being better than me twice in two different rounds. Every other time I lost, I lost to my deck deciding to give me nothing but land for 7+ turns. I ended up going 5/4.

I kicked a lot of ass with this deck. It's also 51/60 Foil. I got 2 Foil Swords of War and Peace, 2 Foil Entreats, and 1 Foil Sorin for 16 dollars and their nonfoil counterpart. So fucking happy about that. And all my Lands are Unhinged Lands and 5 of em are foil. I wanted to get the other 9 plains foil but I didn't want to spend 225 dollars on em. People wouldn't go lower in price on those at all.

Nice Myyrh. Your deck must be awesome to see played mostly foiled out. Trading up the nonfoils for the foils plus 16 bucks is a really good deal.

One of the local players in my area also went to the GP and got 20th.

Shit, bravo on sticking to BW tokens after AVR dropped. I instantly ripped apart mine after the prerelease to feed a RBW unburial deck and GW humans (which ended up getting gutted for a Naya Pod deck I'm going to use for Gameday on Saturday).

I also borrowed a Zombie deck from a friend, planned on playing it but a buddy needed many cards from it. Lent the deck to him. Was building R/G Aggro but the day of, my back was so bad I almost couldn't stand. Popped a handfull of painkillers. Was barely able to focus. didn't want to try something. Stuck with what I know.

Dude, Tokens kicked so much ass. No one expected and I destroyed so many people with them. I'm positive I could have made day two if my Deck decided to not be a prick to me. I lost twice to legit players. First time was my opponent had Sorin, Karn, Giddeon, and Tamiyo out. Guess how that went. Second time I lost to Craterhoof Behemoth and Gisela. I took 130 points of damage in one turn. There was no way to make it out of that.

Round 1 was R/G Aggro, 2/0'd him with ease.
Round 2 was R/G Ramp, 2/0'd him with even easier ease.
Round 3 was Kamikaze Zombies. He played fast and I drew nothing but land. Ended up scooping in match 3 because I went 8 turns drawing no land.
Round 4 was Delver. 2/1'd him. Lost one match to mana screw.
Round 5 was superfriends deck there, went 1/2 on him. Him getting out the planewalkers really hurt when I drew land for a few turns in a row. Was funny because he kept having Karn take my lands from my hand.
Round 6 was....I can't remember. I lost the match 1/2 though.
Round 7 was the decider for me. That was the Frights deck. Just played much faster than I could. I would have dropped after this but some of my friends stayed in.
Round 8, don't remember but went 1/2 again.
Round 9 was Devler, ended up drawing complete shit hands but I was in it for fun at this point so I kept them, ended up going 2/0 somehow lol.

I doubt anyone cared to know what I faced but I wanted to share :D

How do you deal with Solar Flare? It's becoming a thing again and a lot of builds include Ratchet Bomb in with the Sun Titan package.

I didn't notice any Solar Flare decks at the GP and for tokens, if I'm playing against Solar Flare, I just play either fast and hard or slow and steady relying on my pump spells to make my tokens deal with titans. Also, side board Grand Abolisher helps wonders lol

Solar Flare really only seemed like a thing for that first weekend SCG open, since most everyone was just expecting Ramp to.... run rampant.

People would be a lot less likely to keep Ratchet Bombs around now, so tokens could work. Personally the pod deck I'm using is just rolling Bonfire in the sideboard for creature swarm, but decks not touching red could be having issues, especially if you sideboard surgical extraction for board wipe spells in games 2/3.
