Hmmm. RTR looks really nice.

Got a bit back into magic through playing booster draw tourneys.

However, I didn't like Innistrad. Still have 12 unopened New Phyrexia boosters, New Phyrexia was cool.

Ravnica, though. DO WANT. One of the best MtG sets since Legends ever, both game-mechanics- and fluff-wise.

Prerelease tomorrow. What guilds are you guys planning to use? I'm locked into Golgari tomorrow at midnight and will probably go to another prerelease and try to get Azorius.

White and Black have the best common cards, I'm thorn between Selesnya and Rakdos. I think I will go with Selesnya but I'll have a hard time if I don't flip some good removal.

Word on Salvation and reddit seem to point to Azorius being very strong due to detain and the best common removal being white (Arrest). Edit: Arrest is uncommon. Derp.

Yeah, didn't realize they changed the rarity from Scars. Derp. Also, I'd take that pack generator with a grain of salt. It's good to be familiar with the cards before actually cracking the packs, tho. imo.

lgs still doing the play in four prereleases get a free fat pack, skipping on izzet. I won't physically be there to play and drop the 5th prerelease where they'll hand out 12 additional packs after the fat pack on release weekend ; ;

anybody know a good MTG software that you can draft on? I saw someone on twitch playing one but couldn't see what it was.

Most streamers use Magic Online. You have to pay money to draft, though.

I went 3-1 at my midnight prerelease with Golgari. I didn't get any huge bombs out of my packs, but I thought my deck was pretty good. Pack Rats was pretty nuts. One game I won simply by dropping it turn 2 and then I kept making rats. My opponent playing Azorius spent a ton of his resources trying to contain them and then just died to 5 5/5 rats. Deathrite Shaman was also surprisingly good. It reminded me of Grim Lavamancer where it created life swings simply by playing Magic. Got a foil Lotleth Troll from my prize packs too.

Does anyone here know how to use that software? Or how to set it to do automatic actions like activate exalted and other triggered aabilities.

As far as I know, any triggers will happen automatically anyway, don't think you can set it up where you can manually do it.

2-1-1 at the pre-release, last match up ended up in a draw but my opponent cheated his life total, big attack with archon + a detain/draw card, he was at 8 life, he didn't try to calculate the fight at all took his dice and set it to 1 and said "ok I'm at 1". So I'll learn from my mistakes and calculate myself my opponents life total guess I am too trusting.

Ref gave us a draw despite a few people who were witnesses, made me quite angry. (Ended up 16/54 instead of 6th).
Played Selesnya, but I got only 1 populate card from all my packs .... (guildmage at least a good one). So I splashed blue, cyclonic rift really amazing since the set is so slow.

Got Jace, it doesn't seem that good but found out he's worth 30$...

Ya I'm looking to trade my jace now and trade back when cheaper if possible.
Had an agonizing golgari vs golgari where we mucked up the ground with death touch and regen guys. Air you say? Well the one card we each had was halted by that 1/4 defender reach pay 3 regen guy.
He had a better finisher and won both games due to decoy guy forcing all blocks to him when he had lethal swing. Wish I had unpacked a prevent all damage or drew my 1 removal spell
2nd game thought I might have something when I boarded in a 7 mana if an opponents creature dies, it comes to me with a counter and just let my guys swing in and take his stuff while mine dies. He played the same card next turn. Nobody had enchantment removal

You can draft via Tapped Out or Bestiaire and upload the results to Cockatrice, MWS or Apprentice. There's also a program called NetDraft.

Pre-re results: 2-2 in the midnite one, 0-7 across the two on Saturday BUT I won a Plateau AND a Badlands in the junk rare trade raffle!
