I didn't mean to imply that the Counterspell was sun-bleached, I just wanted to give an example of what it was for people who had never seen before. Forcefield is quite nice in EDH, as is Maze of Ith and Kor Sanctuary.

There's a promo maze of ith I want so bad.
Started running a casual lately using bloodghast and skullclamp for draw.. land tax and zuran orb with exploration and fastbond for ramp plus oath of leiges, and sanguine bond for kill w/lands. STP PoE, vindicate and M-pulse hold at bay nicely and baneslayers to keep em scrambling. may use the ghast/skullclamp somewhere else, it is very efficient draw machine.
on a sadder note, got stomped tonight in draft running UW fliers.. oh well...
lol yeah, skullclamp is banned for tournament play <_<. Does make for some wicked casual play.
Skullclamp? Wtf?
I'm glad to hear you playing casual though!
I "almost" quit Magic once.
The thing that got me back was a new deck I made.
It was the "of the" deck.
Every card in it had the phrase, "of the".
Like Lord of the Pit, Keepers of the Faith, etc.
It was so stupid and funny, but it brought me back to enjoying the game.![]()
Well, I haven't built an actual casual deck other than EDH yet.. But skullclamp is way overpowered in so many ways. I wanna build a casual UG madness deck pretty badly. I could prolly put it together now that I think about it.

Even Wizards admit they fucked up on Skullclamp
didnt keep them from reprinting it with all the other cards they fucked up on in FTV:E
edit: gotta admit though i love running four berserks now tho-

I had an actual post my because of avast and its UR PC HAS BEEN UPDATED LOL popup crashed firefox for some reason.
Necropotence was the best card ever printed..
They didn't call it the "Black Summer" for nothing. I still whip out my Powered Trix and Pebbles decks to shut up scrubs that think their FotM's shit don't stink.
Mmm, good times.
I wanna build dreadstill for legacy so bad. But that whole part where the deck is about 1k$ I think I'll pass :/
you play MTG fo' realz an' don't have a K o' cards lyin' aroun'?
Standard decks aren't too expensive. And it's not like I can trade for dreadstill lol
Dreadstill is a pretty solid deck against most comp decks but I can steamroll it with Rock pretty easily. I can see Merfolk outgunning as well.
But I'd recommend bringing it as an option to 1.5 if people are playing favorable decks.
No one plays legacy where I play except for maybe 2 people at most. It's just somethin I wanna build at some point in time.
Lucky you. I'm up to my ears in 35 year old neckbeards that take their magic cards and warhammer way too seriously. God forbid I point out Extinction only deals lethal damage but lets me regenerate my Monger because 15 years ago it wouldn't so it means you ragequit. Over a casual T1. When he would've won anyways (Dr Who vs scrub Rock).
God forbid I point out that corner-inching your mass horde of whateverthefuck Goblin unit doesn't give you flanking over my unit of Chaos Knights so you rage and scatter 9001 dice everywhere and every stares at you. Fuck.
Oh dear, I ranted again.
Jesus, I don't think I've ever had to deal with idiots like that except once. I'm sorry you don't know the rules and I do, get the fuck over it.
