My local ran like clockwork, but we were a somewhat serious group.
This is the mono red deck im thinking about running once the new block starts. This is barring any omfg sex cards in the next set. Let me know what you think im still new to this all. http://www.mtgvault.com/gokku/decks/...t-strike-rush/
It's a shame Bloodrush is about to come out--that's one thing that allows you to fight off mono-blue. What exactly is it not beating at the moment? It's similar to a deck a friend made; can try to analyze but I'm slightly noobish with MTG still.
right now its mostly turn 4 board wipes in the current setting everyone is running internet printed blue white *insert 3rd color* control decks or green red burning tree spam fest. but once alot of that broken tier shit is out it will be more even i feel. twinflame is looking really sexy i may sub something out for it it would give me a turn 2 or turn 5 kill spell, so far its 9 dmg turn 2 kill on turn 3 with a perfect hand turn 4 was where most kills happend but that was pre flamespeakers if i can it the board its turn 4/5 kill
Needs more creatures in my opinion. I'd recommend bumping Frenzied Goblin up to 4 just to start as he has been absurdly useful in my own red deck lately. Foundry Street Denizen synergizes stupidly well with Rabblemaster, plus it'll pump off your Crusader tokens as well. Some options to consider.
i used to have the 1 drop 2 bestow red card in but it seemed to under-preform compared to hammerhand. Ive noticed i can token overwhelm most people by turn 2/3 so having +1/+1 options been a nice ramp as my threat doubles. I dont really want to go to heavy on the goblins as they shouldnt be out long. Generally speaking i dont have much to keep me alive past turn 6ish.
Are you trying to avoid RTR block cards, because that deck wants Ash Zealot and Mutavaults. Mutavault is one of the best answers to Supreme Verdict imo.
I really like the new standard format slated to start at the end of 2016.

Next year's core will be the last core - they will start releasing blocks of 2 sets instead of 3. You will use the current block, and the last 2 full blocks meaning standard will always be 5 or 6 sets instead of 5 to 8
Spoiler: show
Tom Ross with back-to-back SCG Legacy Invitational wins. Contribute it to knowing every square inch of Infect or to everyone else's lack of prep for Infect but he definitely makes for a great Infect and Boss Sligh/RabbleRed posterchild.
So happy about fetch reprints. Super excited about the set in general looks fun. It will be nice to finish playsets of polluted delta's bloodstained mires and flooded strands finally.
Yeah, those make this seem like a good set to invest in.
Going to be good times, really looking forward to cracking into modern and what GP San Antonio will hold for standard
Anyone got tips for drafting M15? I haven't touched the set at all, but I'm going to FNM this week for the first time in forever.
Funny you should mention that. https://twitter.com/mtgaaron/status/502264543859331072
Good riddance.
Yeah I can't say I've been terribly excited with anything I've pulled from 15. Khans seems to be shaping up nicely though, will definitely try to piece together a set of polluted deltas.
