Even though, yeah, the outcome is still hilarious, that's the kind of thing that turns me off the TCG community in public...
I once had an opponent rip up an entire 75 card deck(sideboard) because they lost to me. People just seem to hate losing to me. I'm not an asshole when I win. I'm always very nice. Unless it's to my best friend but he's the same to me if he wins.

Hell, there is a guy, he hasn't beaten me in any game in 2 and a half years. No lie. He hates my fucking guts. He thinks he's one of the best magic players in the city(He's actually really bad at magic) and has a horrible attitude towards new players, when just 2 years ago, he had no idea that Formats other than Standard existed. Now, he plays Modern and Legacy and thinks he's king.

There are even more people I could tell you about with shitty losing attitudes.

Heard about a guy who signed his match loss slip then drove the pen straight through like a quarter of his sleeved deck.
    Possibly embellished

christ that kind of callous money-wasting would infuriate me

like im sitting here trying to make room in my budget for a set of Tarkir fat packs and these fuckers just destroy hundreds of dollars of cards because they lost a game

I'd be pretty pissed off too. I'm sitting around having to decide between having only one or two Tier1 decks or having 10 or so that are gimmicky.

I think my love of opening boosters has worn off anyway, just freaking buy singles. Buy singles, all day, ere day.

I opened 3 Khans Boxes, and while I got my money back pretty much on the dot, I didn't get a single Planeswalker. I think I pulled something like 13 fetches though and plenty of other decent stuff (basically the whole $2+ list of cards, and more than 1 of each).

So quick update about stuff from yesterday. Went 2-2 in both a Khans sealed and Urza's sealed. I got 12 packs total for the records but ended up pulling two Heaths, Delta, Sarkhan, and a Digg in the Khans sealed and a Sneak Attack from the Urza's sealed. The players meeting is about to start. Hopefully I have as much good luck today.

Ouch that sucks. I was just about to pm you and find out your asking price for the mat but that is way out of my price range. I really wanted a new playmat.

I think my budget is no more than $40 for a mat (unless signed by the aforementioned) and $15 per sleeve pack.

Again this is why I hate being west coast:

Portland is six hours away so not exactly next door plus my nearest card shop is nearly an hour away to boot. But I do feel sorry for central US having zero events for their state and/or surrounding states.

I am in the same boat. It is an hour drive now to my closest game store. It is a great store and I had fun there at the last pre-release but it is so hard to get in for any other event.

I scrubbed out of the main event pretty early, but I did OK in the side events. Cracked 2 fetches while drafting and then split in the finals of a legacy 8 man win a box. My half a box had 4 fetches in it. Then went out to dinner with a crowd of people from my shop and my old shop.

I learned the hard way that playing a blue deck without treasure cruise was not the right choice.

You went mono-blue for KTK draft? I've been running Jeskai in quick KTK drafts I've done lately online and had crazy success. Record over the last week I think is 12-2, all sets won? I normally grab a few of the Hexproof Prowess 5drop 4/2 blue dudes, a bunch of instants, whatever other Prowess stuff I can snatch up (the 2U flier also being great), Feat of Resistance, some fights, and once I was lucky enough to grab a Narset that crushed through most of the games.

Tom Ross running out a game 3 win via straight damage with his Infect deck?

Sorry to all the Tom Ross fans, but I'm rooting for Phillip to take down the GP with Miracles.

That last game between Tom & Lam was great. I would have been happy with either of them winning that one after their play.

Edit: And Tom Ross wins. He deserved it for his play, but I'm still disappointed Phillip didn't win. oh well, good luck to Tom in the finals!

Infect isn't interesting in the slightest, so I'm rooting for anyone not playing that deck.

And the finals are Infect (Tom Ross) vs Cruisin USA (BBD).

Edit: Looks like Tom used his nut draws against Phillip. Sooo slow this game so far.

Do you have a link where the deck lists are posted?

Cruisin USA (UWR Delver) wins in 2.
