So it sounds like to me that no one would buy that collection for anything more than $200-250 if you wanted to turn around and flip it for a profit? That is what I was thinking before I made the post.

What Kongming said. If you don't have a way to flip this collection, I wouldn't bother with it. A lot of the higher priced cards are also prime targets for MM2 reprint (Karn, Fulminator, Mindcensor etc).
Literally everything I was gonna say has been said lol
So I was talking it over with a few people I know what do you all feel about this build for modern.
4 Shelldock Isle
4 Surgical Extraction
2 Emrakul, the Aeons Torn
50 Shadowborn Apostle
I'm thinking the sideboard would be
4 Gitaxion Probe
3 Spell Pierce
3 Watery Grave
1 Griselbrand
4 Thought Scour
Any ideas?
This does look super fun, but not sure how practical.
Best case:
Turn 1: Draw, Discard to handsize (i'm guessing always on the draw?)
Turn 2: Draw, Extraction, Hideaway. Library size is now 7 at most
Turn 3: Draw, Hideaway. Library: 5
Turn 4: Draw, Pay for shelldock ability. Library: 4
Turn 5, Extra turn: Draw, Swing 15. Library: 3 - possibly win due to fetches+shocklands
Turn 6: Draw, Swing 15
That's a 3 card window of having the goods. Too many lands / surgicals / emrakul in hand could lose to decking yourself.
I do like that you're guaranteed to find an Emrakul, unless both in hand, off the 2 hideaways after small library.
Would play as troll
Seems like a deck that would be awesome to watch on stream. Shouldn't the Probes be in the main deck to increase the chances of a turn 1 Shelldock?
Worst case scenario you are just going to hit an Apostle. Gives you 8 Shelldock chances in opening hand every game instead of 4.
Wingmate Roc will be a $1 Mythic once it rotates lol.
Yeah I have two right now and I sort of want to ditch them badly.
With that being said though if dig and cruise are not banned then the only cards that will be worth money post khans will be Taylor Swiftspear, Ascendancy, Rhino and maybe White pyromancer. Fetches are a given.
Meanwhile, the new set looks like it will be completely worthless as far as $ targets go. Manifest is also the most uninspiring mechanic since Flanking...
Reality Shift is going to be such a pain to play around
I can't quite make up my mind on if that card is constructed playable I mean my gut is snap yes, but putting a 2/2 into play or a potential morph trap into something much worse seems rather bad.
Still gets rid of the old giant threat, disables ETB triggers if it ends up being something like a siege rhino. Has great synergy with an opposing courser. Not the end all be all of removal of course, but looks quite nice
I think that the idea behind Manifest is suppose to be a primitive form of morph. With that being said though because it's going to be Fate Khan Khan and then Dragons Dragons Fate limited is going to be interesting. I wonder if they will bring back morph for Dragons or if they have some other thing in mind. Also just realized that next year is going to be rather chaotic when we go to the 2 set block structure.
