I don't think I'm going to bother buying anything from the new set. Looks completely lackluster.

The problem is one that has almost always existed in the game, subtype dragon must cost a million mana and have an effect that is underwhelming. It's the same problem that most blue creatures that cost more than 4 have as well. I know that dragons are suppose to be special and feel epic and big. However, the problem is when they can just get pathed or countered they just feel sort of dumb and worthless, which most are.
Yeah, its nothing new really with sets. There'll be a handful of interesting/good cards and the rest will be either bulk or very niche. At least that is my experience with standard sets, stuff like modern masters or conspiracy is different though. You know you've been playing a long time when a new set doesn't interest you.
It really seems like there's been a lot of catering to the EDH crowd as of late.
I'm still excited for the set, but mostly for drafting and sealed.
I think sealed with this set is going to be fun. I am looking forward to the prerelease.
Yeah, there is a sealed pptq her at the end of the month I'm rather psyched.
Its about time for a new Mox. Planeswalkers aren't exciting anymore because they keep dumbing down the power level.
Put JTMS in Standard!
I don't know the way that people are talking about the two new white mythics we might just be there but I guess time will tell.
Oh on a side note, looks like rumors of Zendikar fetches might see a print in Fate, in the land slot just like Khans fetches. This is to get people hyped for Dragons of Tarkir where they would be reprented. For my money though it sounded like we would be going back to Zendikar sooner than later. So I wouldn't be surprised if Zendikar 2 was the first of the two set blocks.
so is it not worth buying a booster box of this set , i could see U/G*i think thats the term for black blue* control using the fucking dragon planeswalker as another stall / win condition?
i generally run red rush and only the red card with +1/1 for dealing damage seemed any good. it combined with token rush on red could very quickly end games / stablize my later games as after turn 6 or so i just cannot kill alot of control decks.
I personally would not buy a box even if looking to resell everything of value and try to come out even with tons of common/uncommon fodder. Unless you like buying boxes because you like wasting money and *seriously* love opening boosters, I'd stay far away from this set and buy singles if there's anything you actually want.
So that person who had the craigslist add I posted earlier sold that collection for $2,000!
Does anyone have any helpful hints or strategies for 2hg? Do you do anything differently in sealed 2hg?
stuff that says "deals dmg to each oppenent" basically is tier 1 as far as cards go in 2HG, obviously for the fact that it effectively does double dmg since there is 2 opponents.
Archer's Parapet is god tier in 2HG.
