What do you all think? Still seems underwhelming(wave), but it will be a good complementary draft/sealed set to Khans, I guess we will just have to see for Dragons.

For standard and limited players it looks like a fine set, for anyone else it's probably not that great. I look forward to Dragons (the set) where we get to see the change in time (flavor wise).

Jeskai Barricade : rebuy snapcaster and block stuff? there's better ways to do this i suppose
Rally the Ancestors : in some weird combo?
Soulfire Grand Master : burn plays white right?
Collateral Damage : if Pyromancer is in the market for more bolts
Wild Slash : Shock upgrade

Anyone know what the content of the pre-release packs will be? 3 Khans and 3 Fate packs? Has there been any information leaked about what the packs will be like? Never mind I found it. http://wpn.wizards.com/en/products/fate-reforged

I am sad it is only 1 Khans pack. I would rather it be 3 and 3.

4 fate 1 khans 1 seeded, this is disappointing I mean fate seems OK but by it's self it's not really anything special I was really hoping for 3 Khans, 2 Fate and the seeded but oh well more chances at Ugin I guess.

Prereleases of small sets always have wonky pack distributions in order to showcase the set and are usually never indicative of the sealed format.

I have to echo the sentiments here in that I'm not too crazy about the new set, but time will tell. This is actually the first midnight prerelease that I'm missing in a few years, and I'm not too upset about it after looking at the spoilers. We just bought a house and I'm moving Saturday morning. My wife will straight up crucify me if I go to the midnight prerelease lol.

Also, cracked a foil Bloodstained Mire from my prize packs from last FNM.

I am pissed one day before the prerelease and I am sick. I might not be able to make it to the prerelease that I already paid for that is tomorrow night at 6pm. I was really looking forward to this prerelease too.

so i've decided i actually really want to make that shadowborn emrakul deck. i've already got the extractions and probes, and i'll probably do the sideboard later since i'm sure the maindeck alone will be functional within my group for the time being. the only thing really stopping me is all the usual suspects are getting close to $1 a pop for the shadowborns, which is tough to stomach for a relatively recent common. anyone know of a cheaper way to accumulate those in bulk?

Aight, I was discussing Magic with a coworker yesterday and felt the urge to price check some of my cards (I quit playing right when M13 dropped). I'm a little out of the loop as a result of time off but why is Liliana of the Veil still $50-60 bucks? I know it's a damn good card but that seems excessive.

Related, anyone in the market for some foil Snapcaster Mages?

Liliana is still very relevant for legacy. Killing 2-4 cards out of your opponent's hand can be a backbreaker, especially for combo decks and players running very lean decklists.

Won my pre-release today with Battle priest and dragonscale general. One game I got up to 90 life before the other guy scooped. Shit was so cash

Played 2 headed giant last night with my cousin we got stomped. It has been a long time since he played so I had to catch him up on all the rules and our cardpools were lacking. Though we did pull a Sorin which was nice. At least we had a lot of fun. I was happy that I got to go.

We had three people pull alternate art Ugin's out of their Ugin packs. One guy sitting right next to me darn it.

She's an eternal playable Planeswalker from a set that has been out of print for over 3 years. If Treasure Cruise gets banned in ~10 hours, she'll probably start seeing play again in Modern.

I'm not surprised in the slightest about Cruise being banned in Modern, but I'm kinda shocked they went so far as to ban it in Legacy. I'm cool with that though.
