I've been comparing them to cards I already have, that I know came from a pack, ect. Nothing about the print, font, foiling, color, feel, ect seems off.

So how did everyone do at GP Vegas? Anyone else go? I signed up for 3 sealed events including the main event had a ton of fun playing. I dropped from the main event to do side events though after I opened Bob, Cryptic, and Kiki which was just about break even. The best I did was a 2hg that I joined up with a random girl for and we rocked it went 4-0 then drew in the last round got enough prize tix to get a box of MM2015. I also played in 2 drafts and had a ton of fun this weekend.

No 'goyfs for me but I did see 2 foils and 2 regulars opened right next to me in events. One box we opened for a draft pod had foil goyf, regular goyf, vend. clique, bob, cryptic command, Karn and one other mythic I forget.

My 2 best friends are moving way far away which means I'll prolly end up quitting magic. I haven't been playing at all for a couple months either... Debating on what I wanna do with my EDH stuff and whatever else I have.

Alternatively, sell whatever you can online then sell the rest as bulk. Depending on what you have, and if it's cheap enough, I may be interested in cherry picking some things. I trade on Pojo, MTG Salvation, and Deckbox if you use any of those.

Yeah, I'm not totally sure if I'm gunna end up liquidating, I don't really need to, but I guess the money would be nice. I could sell off the big ticket items or something.

That sounds good. I've never met anyone who was glad that they got rid of their cards en masse, for either value or nostalgia reasons.

But yeah. Shoot me list of what you're willing to part with, or I can send my specific wants. I'm an EDH player myself and I need to top off a handful of decks.

This is the best advice. I took a 10+ year break from the game but I kept my cards in storage. Best decision ever. Come back to the game with enough cards to build legacy decks. Plus I have friends who quit and sell their cards only to find new people to play with a year later and regret getting rid of all their cards. Just hang onto them.

Jesus fuck. Days like today I really hate this game. Modern pptq. I shuffle my deck very heavily each game. 3 god damn rounds in a row I get amazingly mana flooded. Opening hand in a green/blue infect deck. Is usually noble, an infecter and 1-2 pumps and 2-3land. That's how ever hand went.

And then every card I drew was land. Either a fetch or a shock. Never an inkmoth.

3 GOD DAMN ROUNDS IN A ROW. that is honestly the worst way to lose in my opinion. I didn't even get to play.

first outing with UB reanimator I finished 2-2 but had a first round bye thanks to an odd number of entrants.

round 2 against miracles, the best thing i manged to do was force his top and get griselbrand up and running. the unfortunate part was, the CB flip off entomb revealed a land, it was in the modern card frame, so i didn't even give it a second thought. reanimate griselbrand, pass turn, oh hey, it's a judge foil karakas! fuck. draw 7 into a setup to get inkwell on board, but he gets hit by terminus before he can close the game. post-board without access to abrupt decay might as well be an auto-concede. 0-2.

round 3 vs sneak and show, i manage to close out a very lengthy game 1, lost in 3 after i couldn't find answers to a T1 grafdigger's and then in game 3 a resolved jace kept me stalled long enough to go ultimate.

round 4 vs dredge, he conceded after a long match that ended with my elesh norn + griselbrand facing down 2 GGT's at 7 & 10 respectively. i had an ashen rider on deck to seal the game. game 2, he couldn't play around turn 0 leyline into turn 2 elesh. last turn, he has 2 chain of vapors but no mana to get around 2 daze.

last round was against jund. game 1 i had to force a scavenging ooze, daze a DRS, and then daze a goyf, and that whole back and forth series of turns ultimately ended with a goyf on 5. following turn i got out griselbrand and pass, she swings in and i take the bait, punishing fire kills him off but i got 7 cards out of it and managed to stabilize to close out the game.

game 2 started with a long back and forth with tidespout and liliana, which both got bounced and sacrificed multiple times. eventually i kill her off with a pretty clean boardstate, i decide not to animate one of her DRS for sac fodder, and of course on the next turn, bob flips another copy of liliana. fast forward some additional turns, i'm on 3 life facing down 10 power by way of bob, BBE, and a goyf, and swing in to kill liliana and get some life back so i can try and salvage it. i drew into a force and an entomb/exhume, fetched down to 2, forced a bolt down to 1, and got elesh up and running. if my opponent had bolted lili in response to the attack i would've lost, so a harsh misplay landed me a clean 2-0 for that set.

finished the day by trading into 2 more force of wills, so i've got the full set now. had a bunch of cards on loan that my friend pulled from MMA15 that he offered to let me use as trade fodder, i got 2 mint forces plus a few small extras for 2 cliques and 3 bobs.

i am fairly satisfied with today, all in all.

Nice job making the switch to adding the blue and finishing the forces. Miracles is so lopsided against reanimator, so don't feel bad for the loss heh.

I played in a small Legacy tournament this weekend as well and made the finals. Lost to the only guy to beat me in the swiss. Much better player than me, so I can't complain.
