Legacy. I don't think there's actually any squirrel cards in Modern.

I am not sure you could run a squirrel deck in legacy and not 0-4 it unless you get lucky and run into some other homebrews. Depends on the legacy meta at your local game store.

Is Earthcraft banned in Legacy? Earthcraft + Squirrel Nest is the only thing that comes to mind.

Something about having an infinite engine on T2 or T3 with oodles of options to deliver a payload. Even Coco/Fruity Pebbles would be jelly of the consistency.

I'm not sure how I feel about it. You get all the lands they have exiled, not all the lands exiled by the creature. So if they delve away lands, you get all those lands and whatnot too. It could be powerful or it could be garbage. It doesn't have annihilator and it doesn't do anything else though, so ehhh.

Wow that is really underwhelming for a mythic eldrazi. Maybe a rare. It should at least have annihilator and one other etb effect to be mythic.

i mean i guess it would be an OK finisher in my mill deck if i can extract a couple fetch sets before putting him down. if you ignore the 6 CMC and no way to cheat him in, of course

There has to be something better you could be doing with your mana in a mill deck.

Card could literally be uncommon; its a "best case scenario" card.

It's barely even a "win more" card. No combat effects and no protection of any kind. If you're somehow cheating it into play it's unlikely the effect will have built to any meaningful level. If you're hardcasting it, you're already sitting on at least 6 mana.

if you're cheating it into play, it's a vanilla 5/8. you only get the trigger on hardcast, so it's useless unless you're actually casting it out of your hand. they don't seem to like printing ETB effects on big creatures in recent sets, but i guess that is at least consistent with the other mythic eldrazi. the main difference being the original eldrazi had useful on-cast effects.

but man just imagine if you could get both a dark depths AND a thespian's stage at the same time with this guy?! so OP

Alright guys, Regionals are Saturday and I'm trying to make a metagame call. I feel like, given Abzan Rally's finish at the open, its gonna be a thing at regionals. The deck is solid against Green/Black-based control, so the obvious answer to the deck is Anger of the Gods. The best Anger deck is Mardu Dragons, which has collaterally good matchups against Abzan Control and mono-red. The only problem, i feel, is that Collected Company, in its various forms, is good against Mardu Dragons. How can a mardu dragon deck counter collected company decks? SB Hallowed Moonlights? Or is there another deck you guys feel is well-poised atm?
