The best thing that could happen to Magic would be to fire and replace Maro, but I've been holding my breathe now for years.

If I had a time machine I'd go back and buy and crack all the alpha and beta packs I could get my hands on at the lgs back then and keep the p9 in hard cases and sell them to pay my debts back today.
What a plan. If you had a time machine, you would just go back and invest in stocks.
Gotta diversify your portfolio with Starbucks, Apple and Black Lotuses.
Looking like the Expeditions are a lot more common than everyone was expecting.
Source? Details?
Did 2 drafts so far. This deck went 3-0.
Spoiler: show
4-0'd with Red/Blue fairly easily.
102 people at my prerelease. 1 Expedition pulled (Polluted Delta). Idiot kid was sitting next to me, sold it to the store for $180 store credit. The store sold it within 4 seconds for $415.
~60 at my store. Five were pulled and I managed to snag a Misty for the low low price of a foil playset of Siege Rhinos and $40 bucks. No mercy, shame, or regrets.
He definitely should have done more research before selling it, but I'm sure he just heard the big number and got excited.
At the very least he should have checked the SCG buylist to see the approximate floor for it. In this case it was $250 (cash). Since he got store credit, he essentially screwed himself out of $100+ in credit.
42 at our midnight prerelease, only one opened was my scalding tarn. I may have reacted in a loud, outbursty type of manner... played it to fetch the ub dual alot, felt like modern. 3-1 with ub control, was a fun deck to play. our store made sure to let EVERYONE know that expeditions were expensive and to do research before trading them. was frustrating when back in the day we had to carry an inquest if you wanted to know prices, and you made trades based on needs, not financial equality. "well yours is 3 and mine is 5, let me get another 2 out of your binder" is the most obnoxious, retarded thing ever
I call people with low intelligence "kid". The guy was actually like 28-30 and possessed a cell phone.
Just pulled arid Mesa
Wow, that's even worse. Did you get a chance to try to get it from him before he sold it to the store?
My LGS actually made the announcement that the expeditions were worth a lot, so everyone knew what the deal was. My friend opened the RB new dual expeidtions, and someone else did too. Another person apparently opened a tarn when they got home from picking up their box thing. About 70~ people or so. I opened foil promo gideon and a regular kiora. My sealed deck was disgusting, but I wasn't planning on staying so I dropped.
I work weekends so no prerelease for me, but the owner of my LGS told me that out of 45 people at the midnight event they pulled 7 expiditions. All of them were traded/sold to the shop, he's super stoked.
B&R update day! DTT is out, black vise is back in for legacy. if any of you are ballin' hard enough for vintage, chalice + DTT are now restricted and thirst for knowledge is now unrestricted.
as a reanimator player, i cannot tell you how much i'm looking forward to the return of widespread GY hate and decks running more containment priests to hose the resurgence of sneak & show decks now that omni is done for.
