B&R update day! DTT is out, black vise is back in for legacy. if any of you are ballin' hard enough for vintage, chalice + DTT are now restricted and thirst for knowledge is now unrestricted.

as a reanimator player, i cannot tell you how much i'm looking forward to the return of widespread GY hate and decks running more containment priests to hose the resurgence of sneak & show decks now that omni is done for.

Also went 2-1 last night at prerelease. I had a lot of fun. I really love blue/black ingest. I am irritated I lost the last round though I got paired down and the dudes deck wasn't that great and both games I was in a decent position to win and he drew Ob Nixilis and rolled me over with card advantage and creature destruction.

Thanks! I am really surprised by the unbanning of black vise. I wonder if that will allow some new decks or some old decks to come back. I always loved home brewing with black vice back when I was a kid.

I always loved as a kid having the rack and the vise out at the same time. Keep your hand at 3 or 4 cards or else!

I was literally called the spawn of Satan for playing Strip Mine (bye to your land), Mox, Mox, Lotus, Rack, Rack, Rack, Balance (to 0 cards) on my first turn. He lost three lands in hand + various two-three mana stuff.

I then beat him to death with a topdecked Atog that delivered a turn 3 11-point punch. His only response was "Why would you waste Moxes on an Atog?"

Funny thing is, that's what the guy who I Atog'd to death for a set of Moxen said, too.

For anyone else in New England, if you have a Newbury Comics nearby they're selling BFZ packs for $2 a pop in-store, limit 20 per person. Assuming it's through the weekend, but their weekly flier doesn't give a timetable.

Sadly, they've gone way downhill in the last 10 years as the shitty teenager merchandise-to-music ratio has tilted heavily toward the former. In its heyday it was hands down the best place to go for music, their selection and pricing was unmatched. Now that physical sales have gone down the shitter, they've yanked most of the floorspace that used to be dedicated to music and prices have shot up outside of release week discounts.

As far as MTG stuff goes they typically suck since everything is sold at MSRP (or higher; RTR packs for $6, and MM15 for $15 wtf) with no volume discounts, but I'll gladly max out on this deal.

So, all of my BFZ singles arrived from Japan today. About 2 weeks before they were supposed to and illegal as fuck, but I'll take it :D

Wait a month or two and theyll be alot cheaper, i dont think a lot of people understand how common these actually are just yet. One day after release and prices are dropping, pretty much if you buy a case you get 1-2 expeditions per case and by themselves pay for 1-3 boxes of that case which is insane at their current prices. Right now its a race for sellers to sell as fast as they can to get the most value out of them, so prices should continue to drop as sellers are trying to move them asap. Once you realize that this set will be in print for a year+ and expeditions are continuously being pumped out it becomes clear that they arent worth what their current pricetags are at (especially since theyre more frequent then a foil mythic, which isnt that uncommon as it is).

TLDR; Expeditions will only go down in the coming months, dont buy into the hype.

Yeah, these things don't seem as rare as they originally thought to be. In addition to the Shrine, we had a Blood Crypt and a Stomping Ground pulled last night. The Blood Crypt was immediately sold for $75.

I agree that you either need to sell them immediately since more will just keep entering the market as long as this set it opened or you you need to sit on them for at least a couple years.
