In all honesty, this isn't going to ruin legacy at all. There will likely be a good handful of playables that (hopefully) become more affordable, bling fucks will paint the walls at the opportunity to foil out some more cards, and will overall convert a few more players to the adult table. The only salt will be originalists wailing over their cards like FoW and Wasteland being reprinted (be sure to collect these tears of impotent rage).

Although seriously duals need to be be heavily considered as a reprint. Yeah yeah, I'm not all pleased my beta duals will lose significant value but I DO value having the format energized much much more. Will I be buttmad that everyone and their whore of a mother has a playset of wastelands making me rebalance my land structure? Sure. But I'll recover knowing that that the skill meta just went up a notch shaking decks around and that it didn't take bans/unbans or obscene new cards to do so *cough*modern*cough*

Beta duals will never drop in value, even with a reprint. They're exclusively for the .1% of magic players.

Which is why a dual land reprint would be totally fine and INCREDIBLE for the format. Print duals with new art and even the revised prices would hold.

Reserve list is dumb as fuck, always will be. Legacy is far and away the best format but has such a prohibitive cost of entry for almost every deck type.

well, i definitely got the timing right on duals, i think i hit the absolute bottom. looks like people are panic-buying, all the desirable lands went up a lot over the last day. meanwhile, you can get a set of MP wastelands for under $150 on TCG or HP/MP forces for ~200.

Aside, I had no idea that Wasteland had gone that high. All mine definitely fall into the beat to fucking shit category anyways though.

I remember buying my first MP playset of FoW for $20 back in...2000? and feeling pissed I got suckered.

And yep duals are up about $20 across the board, mox diamond has doubled, winter orb went from 10 to 90, and LED is up 50. Seriously a good time to rummage through old stock for winter orbs.

I originally played around the time of beta so lots of my older cards in that time frame. Though I have sold off alot of them over the years. In retrospect yeah I wish I still had all those dual lands, but when I was a poor college student I needed money for weed and Mad Dog.

For some reason Cape Cod loves Tiny Leaders, I honestly have no fucking idea why. I understand it kinda evolved as an EDH for poors, but poor people don't really exist on Cape Cod.

Actually I take that back since there is a surprising amount of white trash on the Cape, but those kinds of people don't play Magic.

Was gonna say; cape is p much 50% rich people and 50% crackheads. So many poor people on the cape.

I bet Eternal Masters is going to be a big disappointment for a lot of people just like MM sets were if they want all value. Me, I am really looking forward to this new set. Sealed and draft for both MM sets was extremely fun for me and as long as EM is fun in sealed and draft then I am happy.

That being said it would be nice to see Karakas, Damnation, Jace TMS, and a couple other high priced legacy cards I need in the set.

Do you guys think there will be any bleed over between MM and EM sets? Will EM have 'goyf and Clique in it since those are regularly played in legacy?
