I think Wizards already confirmed that there will be Modern staples in the set, though Idk if they want to reprint those so soon again.

I am excited about the possibility of another giant GP Vegas next year for this set. I will definitely be going to that if there is one.
For some reason I thought it came out next year so I was under the impression there was still time for that but if it comes out I guess I am SoL![]()
Though wasn't there a pretty big gap between when the first MM set was released and the GP Vegas sealed event for it?
Yeah I see the release date is June this year coming up fast. I think that is a little bit too early in the year to expect a GP event around the set in early 2017.
right, no GP for eternal masters. maybe in 2018 for EMA2, if it does well. and yeah, i'm expecting mostly disappointment out of the set, the emphasis on drafting should be a clue that it's going to preclude most of the cool/fun/expensive cards everyone actually wants from being in the set.
My disappointment is wizards not relaxing the reserved list to allow some of the obscure, fun, and vaguely OP cards to make a great cube setup. Seriously we need Chaos Orbs.
I both loved and hated the first MM go Vegas. Shit was insanely fun but did wizards ever
Underestimate how many people they'd get. Couldn't get food, drinks, and all events started like 3 hours late.
Would love to do it again though.
I missed the first MM GP in Vegas but I made the one for MM2 and it was amazing. I was there the whole time and drafted and played sealed every day all day and I loved it. It was a damn expensive weekend though I opened the equivalent of at least a box and a half of MM packs in all the tournaments I played.
I agree Ghost I think they should do an evaluation of the reserved list and remove anything from that list that isn't widely played and is worth under a certain dollar amount. If you read the original purpose of the reserved list it was to preserve the value of old collectible cards created after the fallout from Chronicles set. There are some cards on the reserve list that don't have any value to preserve but would be really fun to see reprinted.
eh, the game's been growing and successful overall (at least in the last couple of years since i picked it back up). i really don't see them making any further changes to the RL, pissing off every single one of their vendors in the process, unless things get dire and they really need a fast cash infusion.
Chaos Confetti 4 lyfe
So I'm working on an Eldrazi control deck, any must have cards?
Dear god no. I'm the type of player that enjoys pure rng fuckery and alternate wincons. Started with Lich + Mirror Universe, then Accelerated Stroke, Coalition Victory, Battle of Wits and various other straight win conditions. I'm the asshole that played Krark's Thumb + Mana Clash or a Shufflemania deck using Psychogenic Probe. I'm playing with magic cards but I'm sure as hell not playing magic.
Lich and mirror universe is like 90s inquest good. I had a friend who had a deck full of ornithopters and kobolds. His wincon was enduring ideal, ashnods altar and fireball lol.
What format? For modern, you need eldrazi temples and eyes of ugin.
He mentioned control so you need Chalicex4. Temple is cheap. Eye and chalice no longer are.
I won a full set of Moxes with Atog. The second most satisfying game win of my life, though certainly the one worth the most money.
Shoulda stated I was looking to play standard, whoops.
