It dies to every wrath effect. It is significantly worse than what we already have available in re animator (so it going to the graveyard doesn't matter unless there is a standard reanimator deck coming) and it is much worse to cast than Ulamog, which is easy enough to cast in Standard if that is what you want to play.

It also just straight dies to Declaration in Stone in standard IF re animator became a thing because you wouldn't get the Mindslaver trigger from that.

Also, to cast it for 6-7 you have to fill your deck with bad cards.

Do you mean power creep? It is a difficult issue. The longer that magic exists the more limited their design space will become. They occasionally need to make bad sets/cards in order to open up design space for themselves and to counter power creep. There was an article a while ago where MARO talked about that.

On a side note I drove to my LGS on Saturday to draft Eternal Masters and unbeknownst to me they were having a PPTQ so no one wanted to draft . shit sucks because it is an hour drive to the game store and I don't get to go often. Hopefully I can go this coming Saturday.

I want to do at least one. I really enjoy those types of sets for draft. I definitely did not get my moneys worth out of all the MM and MM2015 drafts/sealed I did but man it was so much fun and it got all the pack cracking out of my system so I didn't buy any packs just to open them.

I opened one EM pack and got Sneak Attack. Woo! Opened 3 more and each rare sucked and was worth about a $1. Yeah I'm good...

Something to note is Emrakul is card 6, so other colorless or Eldrazi are possible.

Finally got around to opening my 18 packs of MM 2015 I have been sitting on yesterday to play some sealed with a friend. Ended up with Vendillion Clique, 2x Cryptic Command, Fulminator Mage, Layline of Sanctity, Kozilek, 2x All is Dust, Spellskite, Blinkmoth Nexus.

We had a fun time playing and I feel pretty good about the value I opened up. His pool had both the cryptic commands, 3 Arrest, 1 Oblivion Ring, and 1 Narcolepsy. It was insane. My buddy built a crazy blue/white control deck.

Out of curiosity, have any of you guys tried pucatrade? Looking to off some of my bulk/dollar-2 dollar rares (standard) before the next rotation with kaladesh.

It was fine for me while Khans was in print, i dont think i sent out any individual card worth over 5$ and got multiple fetchlands from it (deltas were like 13$ at the time and plentiful on puca). If your hoping to get really good old stuff out of the site (heavily sought after staples) then it wont be great, id say the best use of it is turning cheap stuff into standard staples since those move fast.

One reason i stopped using it is because it felt like a chore constantly refreshing the page and seeing if i could send a package to anyone to make it worth the shipping, competition is fierce on there and i felt like i was doing one of those stupid survey sites for points again. Just don't go into it expecting you'll get a power 9 or anything, if your building for standard (or niche edh/modern) you might be fine.

Wow I love the flavor of that. Meld is a fun mechanic and I like the idea of the two fusing together. I am not good at judging cards so I don't know how much play they will see or how competitive they will be.
